Flawless - Harry said to himself while carefully examining his body. Tsidia got closer, hypnotized as he was already singing something quietly.
- Hey. Any plans for today?
- Your turn
He gave her a look saing "You already know do you?"
- You can't override yourself yet. Everybody has to start somewhere.
- Alright then -He looked at his medication noticing that there's only few left- How about a walk in the forest?
Tsidia was shocked by the peacefulness inside him.
- Okay. Is everyth...
He was already outside "tasting the air" as he calls it
- Come on, let's go!
Nearest forest was relativly close. They were able to get there without any disturbances; well if you exclude Harry hitting few solid objects on his way, remembering how flying works.
- What exactly are we doing here?
- Searching
- For what?
- Memories
So they adventured deep into the never-ending green of "Kaeshwi", recollecting lost past.

Return (Open) Empty Re: Return (Open)

Okay, he was totally lost again, wasn't he? Xasheski had decided to come to a halting stop, his claws skidding against the earthen ground, as his claws sunk into the dirt. He felt a shiver run down his spine as he shook himself. Darn it! He was suppose to be able to find his way around, so how did he keep ending up in the middle of nowhere. His gave himself a gentle shake, sending frustration traveling all throughout his body. He wasn't even sure if he was on the same continent anymore. He was getting tired of flying, though, and really want to beat his wings anymore. Now was a better time than ever to just flop down on the ground and relax.

But, alas, his work wasn't done yet. The young dragon looked up, flicking his ear. Only an eye opened, though, his head laying on the hard, dirt floor. It was the sound of an animal. Or something. At least, judging from the smell, it was something he would love to eat. The thought of savory flavors made his stomach growl, reminding how hungry he was.

He considered his aching bones, and let out a groan, rolling onto his side, crushing the grass underneath him. He laid there for a moment, quiet. Then, with a groan, he decided to get up. He lifted his head to the sky, sniffing. Another growl from his stomach made him wince. Man, he was a lot hungrier than he had first thought. Aimlessly flying sure does take your mind of your hunger.

With a contemplative look on where he should start, he turned his head, and went on his way, his ears perked. His attention, however, hadn't quite left his aches, as he quickly almost tripped over a branch. He managed to catch himself, though. Looking down at the twig, he made a mental note to focus, and continued on his way.

Overwhelmed by the amount of life all around her, Tsidia haven't sensed a young dragon entering the forest. After few hours of talking and exploring, they were getting increasingly hungry, and after Harry's 3 failed hunt attempts Tsidia sensed the closest creature big enough to eat, and -after checking if it's not another dragon- killed it with a simple ice attack she picked up using energykinesis. After that they argued about where to lay down. Suddenly Harry's senses started picking up new sounds relatively close to them. His wings were still bleeding from the collisions he had on his way.
- Maybe those scratches weren't so harmless after all.
- Shh, you hear that?
She couldn't, but she could however feel something in the back of her head. Focusing on the connections around her, Tsidia could find a weak consciousness nearby. Someone young and introverted. It was enough to trigger her maternal instinct.
"Anyone here?" - she said in the dragon's direction, trying to sound as friendly as possible

Return (Open) Empty Re: Return (Open)

As Xash trudged along, his head down, sniffing the air, he suddenly got a whiff of something tasty. A small smile appeared on his face. Maybe he would get something to eat. He quietly sprinted towards the direction of the smell, slowing down as he got closer. He lowered his small, jet black body to the ground, in an attempt of being less noticeable. However, due to the fact it was the middle of spring, and everything was green, he would probably stick out like a sore thumb. Though, of course, this problem had never occurred back in the jungle, considering how dark the canopies made everything.

Still, Xa tried to push these thoughts away. Shaking his head, he kept going, until he spotted what would soon be his delicious prey.

It was a small doe. She appeared kind of lanky, and skinny, but hey, food was food, you know? Xasheski doubted she'd be able to outrun him, especially considering his significant speed on land and in the sky. Slowly, he would stalk up to her. Because she was upwind from him, meaning she wouldn't be able to catch a whiff of his smell. It almost seemed like the gods were rewarding him. He wondered what he had done to deserve this treat.

However, the glaze of perfection was soon swiped away, as a voice from his left called out, startling the deer. Xash let out an agitated growl, as he shot after it, but it was too late. He groaned in frustration, stamping the ground with his claws.

He then looked up, wondering where the voice had come from. Maybe he should get out of here, before he could be found out. He had no idea what the dragons were like here, as he had yet to meet one.

"Come on out, we won't hurt you" - Tsidia once again said awaiting response. In the meantime she gathered some rocks and arranged them into provisional fireplace.
- You know, if someone was hunting here you probably just screwed their day over 360 degrees. You can't just shout at trees in the forest. It's against wildlife convention
- "Wildlife convention"? What even is that? - Tsidia failed to whisper as she gathered fire-susceptible material.
- It's a fancy word I just made up for not being a jerk in the forest - Harry explained, while breathing out dense, black gas, leaving Tsidia to light it up. She would punch him in the face, if she didn't know him enough to know he didn't mean to insult her. Still, it was hard for her to get used to it, constant mixture of sarcasm, painful truth, and complaining that is.
- But now that you started it, watch how to do it. - He stood up, cleared his throat, turned to where he assumed a potential viewer might be and spoke in a blank, universal voice:
"Free food, no harm, your choice, but if you wanna come make it quick. We don't have all day."
Meanwhile Tsidia lit up the fire, warm flames smelled of chemicals for a moment, before taking in their natural scent.

For a moment, Xasheski remained quiet. That was, until he heard the voice of another stranger. Man, where did all these dragons keep coming from, he wondered absently to himself. His claws dug gently into the ground, feeling the moist dirt surround his paws. He remained firmly in place, refusing to move. He held his head up, slightly defiant. Like he was going to trust some voice in the woods. The last time he had done that, he had nearly gotten himself killed. Though, the idea of food was tempting...

No! He could find his own food, thank you very much.

He was silent for a moment more. Then, much to his internal voice's dismay, he sucked up the courage to speak, though his voice portrayed obvious unease. "I'm not going anywhere until you show yourself. Who are you?" he called. He would get a good look at them, and try to determine if they were friend or foe.

If they seemed nice, he'd come over. If not.... well, he was confident enough in his abilities to trust that they would be able to get him out of there. He remained rigid, watching the general direction where he had heard the voices come from. Hid mind was fluttered by a variety of thoughts. Some good. Some bad.

- Well, whatever -
Harry shrugged and turned to his food.
- No, no no no no. One last time.
- Are you kidding me? Alright, one last time, but I'm not taking this circus any longer.
He rolled his eyes, tried to sound as neutral as possible and exclaimed:
- We are literally sitting next to a fire, on open terrain, during the day. What do you want us do, build a sign here? Before you ask, there are 2 of us. It can be 3, if you want to come.
- Don't worry, we're no threat to you.
- If we wanted to kill you, you'd be dead already, besides why would we?
He would have added "If you're not coming I don't care, you had your chance" if Tsidia didn't stop him there. She was getting tired of it as well.

Return (Open) Empty Re: Return (Open)

Post by Xavierr Fri Apr 21, 2017 1:39 pm

A small frown would appear on Xash's face, as he backed up a bit. He started to carefully consider the situation. On one wing, there was a chance of food and a full tummy, and maybe some socialization for once in a long while. On the other wing, there was also the possibility that these dragons could be waiting for an ambush. But at the same time, they didn't sound like they were dangerous. Maybe... he would just take a little peak, to make sure that they really were harmless, before he showed himself completely.

Hesitantly, he walked in the direction of the voices, his body brushing up against bushes and leaves. He felt the scratches of twigs against his scales, but they didn't really bother him. When he reached the border of the forest, he tentatively poked his head out, through the leaves, his brilliant bright eyes blinking as a sudden swarm of sunlight came shining his way.

Sure enough, he saw two dragons, sitting in the sunlight, with the food they had promised. One looked to have an injury on its wing, so this made Xasheski pretty sure that the two weren't going to fight. This made him let out a gentle sigh of relief.

With a small breath, he would call out to the other dragons, "Okay, I'll come," he said. Part of him wanted to add "Who knows, it might even be fun." but he kept that thought to himself. He then walked out into the light, approaching the other two dragons cautiously, but seemingly more relaxed than he had been before.

See? Here you go. - Harry didn't try to hide his pride, small victory distracted him from the deer for a moment. Tsidia couldn't help herself, but Awww at the cuteness of young nightfurry walking out of the woods. He was exactly like she pictured him: Small, introverted, and scared. Well, not so scared right now, at least these were the signals she could read.
- Can we eat now? - Harry almost pleaded, overwhelmed by all the social interactions he was suddenly thrown into. Tsidia would prefer regular, formal exchange of phrases first, but noticing he was at the edge of cry, decided otherwise. When Harry was strong enough to function properly, he decided to be the one starting the conversation.
- So... what's your name? Do you live here? Are you rouge? You don't like part of any tribe.
Tsidia gave him a light, mental slap in the face to stop asking about everything at once.

Xasheski was a little surprised, and caught off guard, by how friendly these strangers seemed to act. He hadn't been around friendly dragons in... well, forever. Actually, he just hadn't been around dragons in general in a while. The young dragon tilted his head at them, his shining blue eyes staring up with a sparkle when the one dragon mentioned eating. However, when the same dragon received a look from the other, it prompted a whole bunch of questions, which overwhelmed Xash a bit, causing his ears to reflexively go down.

"Um, m-my name is Xasheski. I guess you could say I live here. I sort of just flew in, and I've found it's a lot more peaceful than m-my previous homes. And uh, yeah, I'm a rogue," the night fury explained, the tip of his tail twitching. It had been a while since he had needed to answer those questions, and he was still a little nervous.

He was also more than a little hungry. While he talked, his eyes would avert back and forth between looking over at the two dragons and looking at the food behind them.

Oh, right the food! - Tsidia said a little embarrassed noticing the devouring gaze of her companions. With the little experience she had, she skinned the animal, cut it into even pieces, put them on a stick, and roasted them over the fire, rotating a few times. Harry was watching this process with the most intense stare of his entire life, not even blinking worried that the food will go away. When it was ready, she distributed them equally and cursed the fact that she didn't have any herbs with her. Harry would normally say that it tastes great (He always compliments food he receives for free), but he didn't really know since he absorbed his part in like 5 seconds. The only bit left he had, he decided to eat as slowly as he could to catch up with the others.

Xasheski watched eagerly as he saw Tsidia begin to make the food. He would sit down, still a little bit of a distance from the two, as he eyed the meal. Watching the process really reminded him of how hungry he was. It made the twinge in his gut grow even stronger. But despite his ravished appetite, he managed to control himself, quietly sitting there in the hard, rocky dirt, until the dragoness had finished preparing it. It sort of reminded him of back when he was part of a tribe. At least, before things had turned sour....

When the food was finally done, he dipped his head to Tsidia, a sign of gratitude, "T-thank you for the meal. It really is quite generous for you to offer me some," he explained timidly, slowly lowering his body and taking a small bite of the deer. It was actually quite good.

He would feast on the food, taking small, slow bites, as he watched the two dragons in silence while they ate.

Tsidia afforded a small smile. It was the best she could do for the little Xasheski. "No problem" - she said, watching them eat, only taking small bites herself. The Dragoness giggled a little watching Harry cut the little bit he had left in about 8 pieces and trying to pace himself with them. If she didn't stop him, he would probably know all Xashewski's fears, successes, dreams, origins, special abilities, and his opinion on runic magic and distant galaxies by now. Her good mood however, was soon broken by the little drop of blood, dripping out of his wing. She knew that he was in pain, trying to hide it.
- Y-you know - she started shyly, trying to adapt to her listener - You look like someone who had to take care of himself for a long time. My friend over here - she gently tapped Harry's wings with her tail  - got into some... turbulences on his way here, and Uhmm... -She blushed deeper ever second, trying to find the right words to say - he recently woke up from a coma and...
- Any help means a lot. - Harry helped her finish and pet her snout lightly to help her calm down.

Xasheski would blink, his tail curling up tightly around his legs. He listened to Tsidia with quiet attentiveness, keeping his eyes open and concentrated on what she was talking about. He would nod slowly as she talked about how he may have become accustomed to taking care of himself. Unfortunately, when she gestured towards the injured wing of the dragon beside her, the small night fury frowned.

The truth was, Xash didn't have much knowledge when it came to healing injuries. He dipped his head in a sort of apologetic way. "Um, I'm sorry miss, but I'm afraid I don't know that much about treating those kinds of things.... hmmm," he drifted off, thinking for a bit. Well, there were probably some herbs around here he could use, but he wasn't sure.

"Actually, I have an idea, that may be able to help you. I'll be right back." Xasheski would say quickly, finishing up what was left of his meal, before getting up, and heading back the way he came. He had thought he had seen something he recognized, so maybe he could try to use that.

Xasheski didn't have as much experience with herbs as he wished he did. He only knew some basics. He would quickly shuffle through the woods, disappearing from Harry and Tsidia's sight.

//I'm not entirely sure if I want to continue this since everything from now on will be very predictable and maybe a bit boring, unless something weird happens, or someone else joins. Well, anyway...

- Do you think we scared him off? - Tsidia asked nervously looking at the direction Xashewski left.
- Nah. He'll be right back. Sure thing.
Enjoying short moments of privacy Harry whispered for her to get closer, wrapping around her in tight, warm hug, receiving  a small sigh from her. He had to fight her tail off with his own. Obviously he had no chance against her skilled movements, she was using it for everything from moving small objects to casting spells since she was born, but a few gentle blocks were more than enough to avoid her hitting his injured wings. "Do you always have to give away our resources to strangers? And why do we always meet someone at the fireplace? Is this some kind of attention attractor?" He scratched behind her ear, and pressed her favorite spot where her wings connected with the rest of her body, earning a deep purr, and increasing difficulty, her tail lashing faster and more unpredictably. It was getting harder to keep up. "I just can't get by, knowing that someone, somewhere may need my help, without me ever noticing, ignoring them as they stray away from us further. you know that." "I do... I do". For a second Harry could swear he saw something blinking in his vision, before disappearing, never to be seen again. That distraction was more than enough for Tsidia to accidentally break through his defense, and hit him with her tail, right in the injury. His vision blurred red, he could hear his own scream escaping from him, unstoppable by any resistances.
