Personality: Lucius barely knows how anything in Nuira works. He has the mind of a child for the moment, and he needs someone to guide him. He is complicated though... Some part of him still wants to return to the Void to gain his full power, and he must fight this for as long as he lives. He still doesn't understand some concepts, but he is a fast learner. He wants to know everything there is to know about his new world...
Hobbies: He likes learning anything he can. He enjoys exploring and hunting as well. He likes changing into different creatures to experience different parts of the world. Anything he can do to understand the world of Nuira interests him.
Likes: He likes shadows, darkness, nighttime, anything to do with darkness.
He likes seeing new things and experiencing new feelings. Anything new to him fascinates him.
He likes spending time with Rihzome and Vortex, the two who helped him into this new world.
Dislikes: He dislikes bright light, but warm firelight, and the light of the moon and stars is fine.
He gets annoyed whenever he can't figure something out. He likes to be able to know everything that he can.
He isn't afraid of the dark, but he is wary of what lies within.
Fears: Not much yet seeing as he doesn't understand death, time, or anything much else about the world of Nuira.
He does fear what might be lurking in the darker parts of his own mind.
He fears the fact that he might one day have to leave Nuira...

History: Lucius is a creature created from pure dark magic that congealed around a point of complete emptiness known as the Void, or rather, not known at all by most. He would have been created inherently evil if not for a star going supernova. The blast flung him away from the Void on a path that would eventually end on Nuira. He doesn't have a true form and is able to take any form that he wishes without
serious repercussions. He has about the understanding of the world that a young hatchling would, and he needs a guide and teacher to help him become part of his new world. As far as he knows, he came from a world covered in darkness with only tiny lights in the distance (space). He has decided that he likes Nuira and wants to stay, but something is driving him to leave...

Abilities: Nightmare Shifting: He has the ability to shapeshift into any form that he wishes, for as long as he wishes. Once he settles on a True Form, certain types of magic(eg. light, detection, other types that reveal secrets.) will reveal his true form and force him into it. He will settle on a True Form as quickly as possible through RP. Until then his True Form is of a similar appearance to an Obscurus from Fantastic Beasts (Seemed fitting to me). He does not take on any new abilities while in other forms. He has to wait two posts between shifting forms. His mass, density, and other physical characteristics change based on his form. He can change into inanimate objects, but in the form of an inanimate object he cannot do anything but shift forms. Becoming an inanimate object can be helpful, but it seriously limits what he can do, usually he only uses this for hiding. It takes a post for him to pull in enough magical energy for him to shift forms.
Mimic: He can mimic movements, sounds, and almost anything else tangible except magic. It takes two posts for him to replicate a movement when he's mimicking.
Strengths: He can change his form and body at will.
He easily takes to any magic dealing with darkness, concealment, and fear.
His mimicking ability makes it easier for him to learn.
He doesn't take on weaknesses of other forms.
Weaknesses: Light magic and other types of secret revealing magic will reveal his True Form, making it impossible for him to shift into anything else for 3 posts.
He is weaker against magic that is powerful against darkness, shadows, and other Nightmarish things.
He has about the understanding of the world that a young hatchling might.
He doesn't know how to talk.
If found and mentored by the wrong person, he could become a dangerous weapon.
If he is injured, the injury will carry over in some way to whatever form he takes next.
He doesn't take on abilities or strengths of different forms.
Fighting Style: He doesn't really understand the concept of a fight or how to fight. He can mimic and remember movements though, so any movements used against him would quickly become a part of his repertoire.
Magic: He doesn't know any magic at the moment, but it is easier for him to learn magic dealing with darkness, concealment, and fear.

The only thing I can say is that, while he can take on any form, he can not use the abilities of the form he takes, correct? He only resembles it in physical appearance?

Another thing, I don't mind the mimic, but being able to replicate moves almost instantly. I would say it takes him at least 1-2 posts before he can replicate it, and if it is an elemental or magic attack I'd say that he can only replicate it once before he has to watch them do it again.

I'd also add a few more physical weaknesses, as well.

Is Lucias the same mass in all his forms? Also, do all his different forms have more distinctive weaknesses?

Made it so that his mass, density and other physical characteristics do change with his form. He doesn't take on weaknesses, strengths, or abilities of any form which he takes on.

when you say any form, do you mean any form? Or only living things? Like, could he change into a rock?

Edited so that he can shift into inanimate objects, but while in an inanimate form he cannot do anything but shift to a different form when he needs to. So no moving on his own, no casting spells, no stabbing dragons as a tree, and no making inanimate objects move.

I'd say to give the transformation a start up, like, say it takes 1-2 posts before he can transform.

Added in that, "It takes a post for him to pull in enough magical energy for him to shift forms."
