Rules of Dragons Haven Forum:

1. Respect Staff
They are doing this voluntarily to help make the forum enjoyable for everyone, meaning that they are not paid. Staff's word is final on decisions. If you feel you were mistreated or not listened to by staff, contact an admin. Staff list is found at the bottom of this page.

2. No Swearing
People of all ages RP here on Dragons Haven, so please no crude language. Trying to get around swearing blocks will result in a warning or a ban. A slip up once in awhile will be fine as long as it is not consistent.

3. No Adult/Sexual Talk
THIS IS A PG-13 SITE. Just like with swearing, there are kids here. If adult content is found in an RP it will be taken down immediately, followed by a warning/possible ban. A lick and snuggling are fine, but no in-depth detail. Same rules apply on the Chatbox.

4. No Detailed Gore
While some people can handle it, others can't. It's better to not accidentally stumble upon something that can give someone nightmares. Small things are fine, but excess blood and guts should be kept to a minimum in posts.

5. No Meta/Power Playing
Meta Playing is when your character knows something it shouldn't, like an incoming attack of what another character is thinking. Because your character shouldn't know what's coming, just like you don't in real life, this is not allowed. If you see this, please contact a staff.

Power playing is when you take control of another player. Sometimes in plots, if the other player agrees, power-playing can be allowed to move the plot. In a fight, if character A goes and breaks character B's arm without their permission, that would be considered Power Playing. Contact a staff if you see evidence of Power Playing.

6. Respect Members
Everyone here has their own thoughts, feelings, and way of life. If you don't respect them, why should they respect you? Treat others like you would treat yourself. Any harassment or racism/prejudice will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. Contact a staff if this happens to you or another person.

7. No Loopholing Rules
Any attempt to undermine, weasel through or dodge these rules will result in a warning, followed by a kick or ban, whatever is deemed necessary by the staff.

Rules of the Chatbox

1. No Discrimination
We are all human. Treat everyone equally.

2. No Swearing
There are minors on this site, keep it pg-13. A slip up occasionally is fine as long as it's not consistent. No avoiding the swear blocks.

3. No Sexual/Adult Talk
Again, this is a PG-13 site. Sexual innuendos are not allowed. Don't make out on chatbox, either. A lick and snuggling are fine, but no in-depth detail.

4. No Trigger Topics
Don't discuss anything that may offend other users. Everyone has their own beliefs and religions. Please be respectful of them. If someone is uncomfortable with the topic and asks to stop, just stop.

No talk of suicide, either. Period. If you have having issues, contact someone in real life. The internet is not the place to get help for this.

5. No Spam
Members do not enjoy spam, so please keep those urges to hit the enter button instead of the space bar suppressed. If someone is spamming, please contact a staff so they can issue a warning and clear.

6. No Arguing
If you have an argument, take it off the chat and to a PM. If things are getting heated, feel free to ask a staff member to come and assist you in diffusing the situation, or providing you with the answer to said argument if applicable.

7. Be Friendly
Everyone here just wants to have fun. Let's all be chill and have a good time. Don't go on a hate spree of just belittling members or 'killing' or 'hurting' them. If someone asks you to stop, just stop.

Chatbox Help

• In Context (IC) Roleplaying
Note: Chatbox roleplays are not considered canon on the forum unless all users agree to it.

Italics are considered to be IC talking, so avoid typing in italics in a normal OOC (out of character) conversation. To do IC actions, type "/me" and the action afterwards. (To access italics, hit the slanted 'I' button.)

Example: /me talks to the people in chat
-------- [03:12:18] * Zolt talks to the people in chat

• Colors/Emoticons
These can be found just to the left of the chat. The A with a line under it lets you pick a chat color, and the smile face lets you pick emoticons.

Other tips:
- To underline text, hit the 'U' button.

- To do strikethrough text, use the 'S' button.

- To go into the 'away' section or to mention you are absent from the chat, do '/asb' or '/away'. You can also add a reason after, just like with the '/me' action.

Example: /abs Getting dinner
-------- [03:11:26] Zolt is away : Getting dinner

If you don't want to hit the 'Log out' button, you can always so '/exit'. Just like with '/abs', you can add more information after it.

Example: /exit gtg real quick
-------- [03:16:47]  Zolt has logged off the chat on Sun 25 Sep 2016 - 3:16 (gtg real quick)
