Personality and the Basics


Name: Imperia
Gender: Female
Type: Western Dragon
Species: Wind Dragon. Aka: A dragon that uses wind elemental magic.
Age: About 120 years old
Date of Birth: No idea
Personality: Unfailingly kind, passionate and optimistic. Imperia is an idealist with a strong romantic streak. Her philosophy of life is simply: If it’s fun, then it should be done. She cares deeply about others and she wants everyone to live happily, she doesn’t like violence and supports world peace in every way she can. She tends to be warm and attentive, as well as rather flirtatious, but displays pride and arrogance on occasion. She’s immensely sassy and considers herself to be practically perfect. She simply cannot resist attention, and adores flattery.
Despite having the best interests of everyone at her heart she often goes too far, coming across as depraved or getting others hurt accidentally because she’s too caught up in her own ideas. She has a submissive and courteous nature, but she also manipulates others. She has a merciless side, and will smile while stabbing someone in the back if she thinks that they deserve it. She’ll also surrender easily, or run away from a fight that she doesn’t feel desperate to win. She’s a capable fighter, but she very rarely relies on her abilities.
Hobbies: Imperia loves socializing and having affairs with other dragons, but she also tends to take on a mother or big sister role to younger dragons or anyone who she feels needs some cheering up. Being a friend and partner to others takes up most of her time.
She likes to read and to study, but she tends to focus only on interesting hobbies. She likes art, and fancies herself as being good at architecture and interior design. She also likes singing and dancing, as well as giving massages.
Imperia is a teacher at heart, she’ll gravitate towards taking a mentor role, but she does it in her own immature fashion. She might not be violent, but she does enjoy play fights against others, especially if she’s teaching them how to fight.
Likes: Imperia loves being complimented or admired, she never gets bored of it and she simply can’t resist being flattered.
Imperia adores pleasure, everything from delicious food, to the feeling of wind on her scales, to being close to other dragons. She seeks out such enjoyable feelings whenever she has the chance.
Imperia also likes to be clever and have intelligent conversations, although she enjoys silly conversations almost as much. Any opportunity to show off will almost certainly be taken by her.
Dislikes: Imperia dislikes being bored, and menial labour is a definite ‘no thankyou’. Cruelty is perhaps the thing that she hates most, and she’ll do everything in her power to get rid of it. She has no specific other dislikes.
Fears: Imperia’s greatest fear is being lonely or being hated. Her personality hides deep insecurity that she’s never quite able to overcome. She doesn’t let it affect her life usually, but the idea of being worthless utterly terrifies her.


Origin, Culture, and Family


Place of Origin: ???

Position: Ruler of the Stormcallers
Language: Communication is essential, she has a basic understanding of almost every language, as well as fluency in all commonly used languages.
Home: Imperia spends some of her time in the home territory of the Stormcallers, but often wanders the world.
Parents: ???
Siblings: Imperia has a twin sister called Altia, but she won’t be likely to appear in roleplay.
Relatives: None yet
Mate: Always seeking love. <3
Offspring: None yet
History: Long and complicated. Here are the important bits:
As a hatchling and child Imperia was taught her wind magic in a small dragon village that was renowned for its teaching arts. The village was neutral, but affiliated with fire dragons and on the very edge of their territory. It was wiped out during a war. She was captured and made a slave by the victorious army. She learned that it was better to surrender then it was to be destroyed, and she suffered humiliation quietly. After about a year she had a chance to escape and took it. She was a refugee for a while, but she was treated kindly in the city to which she fled, and it soon became her life’s goal to make the world a peaceful and kind place, where nobody would need to go through anything like what had happened to her.
That goal spurred her to master teaching and fighting, as well as driving her to become a resourceful and determined politician who eventually rose to rule as queen of her race.


Physical Appearance and Accessories


Height: just under 15 feet tall, from paws to head
Length: Fully stretched out Imperia would be about 40 feet long.
Wingspan: Fully spread her large wings would be almost 70 feet wide
Scale/Fur/Feathers: Imperia has silver scales, her scales are soft to the touch and sensitive for feeling wind currents, but also tough and very resistant to damage, their texture is smooth and leathery.
Eyes: Blue eyes that tend to express her emotions easily.
Accessories: Imperia rarely wears anything, but when she does she likes to wear red.
Armor: She never wears armour. Her scales protect her about as well as average steel armour, and she does not want to sacrifice her agility or her style to wear anything heavier.
She does, however, have a weapon: A long golden spear called The Dragonslayer. This spear has a number of abilities, with its greatest strength being its ability to cut through, or redirect, magic. For instance it can pierce most magically created shields with ease, and it can absorb the magic contained within long range attacks if it is used to block the attack. It can also be used as a lightningrod for non-magical lightning, conducting electricity without harming its wielder.
Horns/Spikes: Imperia has her claws, four on each paw, which are pointed and have cutting edges. She also has two curved horns on her head, they’re small and not likely to be usable in combat. Her horns and claws are a very pale blue. She has no other fins, spikes, frills or sharp edges.
Overall Appearance:  
She’s very slender for her size, she’d call herself petite, and she’s voluptuous and curvy. Her walk, and practically everything she does, is deliberately intended to attract attention.
Imperia is quite sassy and she loves to look sexy. Her movements are constantly showy and she tends to prance and pose as much as she can. She shows off her figure as often as possible. She treats it as a game to do this, and rarely behaves seriously. She’s almost always smiling or laughing.

Abilities and Strengths


Abilities: Imperia’s greatest asset is her agility. She can float weightlessly, turn, stop, accelerate and move around without any respect for gravity. Her quick reactions combined with instant omnidirectional movement make her extremely difficult to catch with anything but a wide area attack.
She also has the ability to sense movement in her surroundings using wind, this ability has a moderate range when used instinctively, but can be used to search specific areas if Imperia focuses her power.
She can magnify, shift, delay or imitate sounds flawlessly, she often uses this to sing or to have private conversations while in public. In addition she can manipulate wind and air for many purposes; including creating wind blades, gusts of wind, and shields. She can instinctively sense and deflect solid projectile attacks (like arrows or cannonballs), as well as charging enemies or falling objects. She can also summon storms, and when using her spear she can conduct and target lightning strikes.
Strengths: Imperia is a brilliant tactician, and an extremely quick thinker. Her greatest advantage is always her speed and flexibility in both a mental and a physical sense. She’s a master at finding ways to solve problems and disagreements. Her good image is one of her main strengths; she tends to find allies easily. She’s a consummate liar, but uses her powers in this area for good. She is extremely physically tough and able to take a lot of punishment without permanent damage. She’ll eventually heal from almost any nonlethal wound. She tends to be very perceptive and aware of her surroundings, even if she doesn’t always show it obviously. She’s a good actor.
Weaknesses: Imperia’s primary weaknesses are to the few things that are faster than she is (such as lightning), successful stealth attacks, and attacks that are too large or wide ranged for her to dodge. She also has considerable cold vulnerability. Lowering her body temperature weakens her rapidly until she becomes helpless, death could eventually result. Her small size is also a disadvantage.
Her personality is another one of her weaknesses, she puts herself at risk for the sake of showing off or simply because she’s too confident in her abilities. She tends to be very trusting and can be easy to fool in some circumstances.
Other dragons are also a major weakness for her, Imperia gets emotionally attached very easily and she might make stupid decisions for the sake of dragons who she shouldn't trust. She is very vulnerable to treachery, and would be heartbroken if she made friends with someone she shouldn't have trusted and they then showed their true nature.
Fighting Style: Imperia can use slicing blades of wind at midrange or close range, focusing them often on her tail and her wingtips. She likes using subtle gusts of long range wind to unbalance and confuse, but she can stagger an unwary opponent even from a considerable distance with brute force. She tends to be indirect and relies on skill to gain control of a fight before finishing her opponents off with a well-placed spear thrust or attack.
On occasion she’ll attack using only magnified sound. However she often saves this and her ability to summon storms for use on enemies that she can’t easily defeat with her preferred attacks.
Magic: Imperia has wind magic, which has already been described, but she also has the ability to create, modify, or use magical symbols and artefacts. These symbols can have many possible effects and require careful crafting. She can’t use them in combat as they require a lot of precision and time to be usable, but she could use magical objects inscribed with symbols on occasion. Some uses for symbols include creating space for storing objects, heating or cooling themselves, generating light, sound or electricity, attracting or repelling objects, and manipulating matter. Any dragon could use sigils if they craft them or if they have access to sigils that were already made.

Add a few more, perhaps? There needs to be one more than the total number of strengths/abilities.

Nice, but what kinds of artifacts and symbols?

Otherwise, it's looking pretty good.

I described the properties of symbols.

Strengths: Personality, speed, toughness/healing, magic abilites
Weaknesses: personality again (overconfidence, impulsiveness, a tendency to show off etc), no ability to shield myself from faster attacks or large attacks, weakness to the cold, Small size

Can I have 4 and 4? Besides if they're balanced then why should they be defined numerically anyway?

It's not my rule, it's Scortia's, sorry.  You have to have one more weakness than your strengths/abilities combined.

I think that that's all the corrections you need to make.

There were a few tiny changes, her spear can now direct lightning to make her more suitable for being a Stormcaller. But that's pretty much it.
(Without the spear she's unable to control lightning directly.)

Can she float literally, like without wings, or was this metaphorical?

What is the range?

Ooook. So this part gets iffy
Strengths
-Fast x2 (mental/physical)
-Flexible
-Master Detective
-Extremely Beautiful
-Super Resilient
-Great Self Healing
-Always Aware
-Great Actor

Weaknesses
-things faster than her (voided due to her strength of being really fast)
-sneak attacks (voided due to constantly aware)
-weak to cold
-small

So in summary, 9 strengths with 2 weaknesses. There are way too many strengths, as you are basically saying you are good at everything. You need to limit what you are good at and do some balancing to your character. You've basically said you are good at everything except physical strength.

Floating weightlessly was literal.
The range on my sensing ability is about twenty feet, but I can sense things at longer range if I dedicates my focus to doing so.

Strengths:
-Speed/Agility
-Resilient to damage
-Healing (barely a strength, seeing as it still takes months to heal)
-Personality
-Awareness/perceptiveness

Weaknesses:
-Large area attacks
-Surprise attacks and ambushes
-Cold weakness
-Small size and low physical strength
-Careless and overly trusting nature
-Arrogance

It's all a matter of how you interpret these strengths and weaknesses, and either way it's a shallow attempt to represent a character. You decide if my abilities are fair not from a rulebook but from intuition.
Besides it's a bit rude to put 'attractiveness' as a strength. What if someone just doesn't like me? That's one of my 'strengths' rendered totally useless.

Attractiveness is based on what user wants, but forcing it as a strength requires it to be listed.

As for resilient to damage, what do you mean? She resists everything?

I didn't force it. I stated it and people can ignore it if they choose. You can't ignore a strength.

Resilient to damage specifically refers to hard scales not being sliced easily, and relatively tough bones and muscles that rarely break or tear. I also withstand some crushing and concussive damage. Stabbing still pierces my scales without much difficulty though.
