Temur, The Burly Blacksmith Empty Temur, The Burly Blacksmith

Post by Chrocey Tue Aug 29, 2017 9:30 pm

Personality and the Basics

Name: Temur
Gender: Male
Type: Western Dragon
Species: NightWing
Age: 46
Date of Birth: November 10th
Personality: Temur is the epitome of the strong silent type. In conversation, he’s very blunt about everything, and tends to get on certain others’ nerves at times for how honest he can be. Above all else, he’s loyal to himself, which is why he tries not to put himself in positions where being selfish gets him in trouble.

Around those he calls friends his behavior is a bit more relaxed (kinda?). He tends to scoff at his companion’s actions and ideas, which makes it seem like he thinks he’s superior, even though he doesn’t. He does enjoy a good drink every now and then at the local tavern. If intoxicated enough, on very rare occasions, he’s been known to sing.

At the end of the day, his main goal is to keep life as simple as possible for himself. Even if such a goal is unobtainable with the variety of dragons he meets on a daily basis.

Hobbies:  Smithing, drinking, watching performances (especially singers)
Likes: Working, good performers, good drinks, stargazing
Dislikes: Anyone who makes things complicated, puzzles, riddles, taunting, thieves
Fears: Losing his forge, becoming old, losing those he cares about

Origin, Culture, and Family

Place of Origin: Shveki
Tribe: Xøya
Position: Civilian
Language: Xøyan.
Home: A small shed near his forge in Hesini village.
Parents: StarSweeper (father) and NightGlide (mother)
Siblings: None
Relatives: A grandfather, but he passed when Temur was too young to remember. Rest of his family is scattered.
Mate: None
Offspring: None
History: Temur grew up as the son of StarSweeper, the village blacksmith. StarSweeper, named as such because he possessed wings that were abnormally large, raised Temur with the anticipation that he would take over the forge. Temur rejected his father at first, wanting to be a soldier like his friends or even a singer like his mother. Ultimately, however, he found his talents primarily circled around smithing. Soon, he even began to enjoy it.

Ever since Temur was a hatchling, he’d been bigger than the others. This lead to many suggesting that he join the ranks of the Xøyan military instead of staying a blacksmith. To use his mass as an unstoppable force and conquer more land in the name of his tribe. Such glory never really appealed to him, however. Building weapons and armor sounded far more preferable than being sent to die because someone said to do it.

When he was almost thirty years of age, his father had passed away, and shortly afterwards his mother did as well. The forge was left to him by his father, and his mother left him with a lockbox that had scrolls upon scrolls of songs and poetry she’d written throughout her life. Though he admitted it was selfish, he particularly enjoyed reading what she’d written about himself.

Temur’s goal is to work in the forge until he is physically incapable of doing so. If he hasn’t produced a son or a daughter to give the forge to by the time he’s too old to work, he plans on simply demolishing it and giving the land to a stranger to do with as they pleased.

Physical Appearance and Accessories

Height: 130 feet
Length: 210 feet
Wingspan: 280 feet
Scale/Fur/Feathers: All black scales.
Eyes: A light blue
Accessories: Temur does not wear any accessories.
Armor: Does not wear any armor in particular, but can make himself a set if need be.
Horns/Spikes: Two black horns that protrude from the back of his head, pointing towards his tail.
Overall Appearance:

Abilities and Strengths

Abilities: Able to breathe fire.
Strengths: Can lift very heavy objects. Able to solve just about any problem that requires muscle. Also knows how to use just about any weapon that he can make, but hasn’t spent time actually mastering them.
Weaknesses: Despite being strong, Temur is slow. Anyone who is more agile than him can easily outmaneuver and stab him enough times to kill him. Additionally, he isn’t the most intelligent, and can be outsmarted very easily.

Another weakness is taunting. If someone taunted him during a fight, he tends to forget any sort of strategy and just goes in for an attack.

Fighting Style: Temur is a powerhouse in a one-on-one fight. If he lands one good hit, he can usually stun his enemy long enough to finish them off. Since he’s only done drunken fights, he doesn’t need to use weaponry quite as much. He does know how to use them, however, in case he ever needed to.

His fire breath is usually only used as an intimidation tactic rather than actual harm, but the flames could definitely hurt someone if he wanted them to.
.
Magic: Temur does not know any magic. In fact, he disdains the use of it, believing it to be for cowards.

150 feet is too tall for a western dragon. All western dragons must be, at a maximum, 130 feet.

Okay. I adjusted his size accordingly. I also realized I put his fire-breathing ability twice (both under Magic and Abilities). I've removed it from the Magic section and put something else instead.
