Expanding Horizons (Az)

The twins flew over Xøya territory, heading to the palace to meet with one of the members of the tribe. Solar had convinced his sister that a trip to some of the other territories to learn some more about them. Sure, other Stormcallers were around, and they new a lot about the other tribes, but the male ruler felt like it'd be best for him and his sister to go check things out for themselves. Sky eventually agreed, thinking it could be nice to find some new stories or histories that they hadn't known before. With that, they'd flown all the way to Xøya lands to visit.

They would soon make their way to the palace, landing outside and waiting for the dragon that would great them.

After a quick check to dispel any possible deception of their true identities, the twin rulers would be permitted access into the Xoyan lands, flanked on both sides by a pair of vigilant escorts who kept a comfortable distance. Perhaps, at some point, the twins would’ve felt more than two pairs of eyes upon them, despite the desertedness of the outskirts of Xoyan territory, but they would find nothing, should they attempt to.

Although the Xoyan castle loomed clear for all to see, the same could not be said for the way there: the path the twins were guided along twisted and wound around and between houses, though the streets were empty, with Xoyans already ushered to their homes. The heads of some peeked out through windows, eyeing the twins with a mixture of curiosity and guardedness.

At last they would arrive at the main gates of the Xoyan castle, which swung open beneath the familiar touch of one of their escorts, and the twins would be led to the massive obsidian doors barring access to the castle, where they were requested to stand and wait. After a few minutes or so they would finally part to reveal Azreyus, striding out towards the twins, smiling faintly.

He inclined his head in a shallow bow.

“Solarlight, Darksky,” he greeted, cordially and in Universal, as he re-entered the castle, gesturing for them to follow. Inside, the twins would see a reflective black floor, veined with faint threads of marble, while the deep grey walls were lit with clawed sconces, between the talons of which shone a pale blue light. They stopped in the Great Hall, a high-ceiling, wide room that stretched as far as the eye could see. Along its length were tables, draped in cream and brown, though only one held steaming platters of food.

“Help yourselves. The castle’s finest chefs were summoned to assemble these,” he informed them.
