Personality and the Basics


Name: Nibiru
Pronunciation: Ni-Beer-Roo
Gender: Male
Type: Western Dragon
Species: Desert Glasswing(formerly), Desert TormentWing(Currently)
Age: 34
Date of Birth: August 9th
Personality: Nibiru is a very reserved dragon, usually not wanting anything to do with those who aren't his beloved leader, so much so that he usually sees himself out of situations that he finds boring or unpleasant. He cherishes his Ki'shan identity, culture, and heritage, basing most of his life around it and wanting nothing more than to reach higher in society, maybe even one day becoming second to his leader. He goes out of his way to make sure that one knows that he was once a very beautiful dragon, often spreading his wings in a sort of peacock fashion and showing them off even if nobody around could care, periodically ruining some relationships he has with some of his peers. He has a bit of a superiority complex due to his past nature of looking the best of the best, even now that he is uglier than he could ever be, leading to him having dismissive behavior of anyone below him or even his own sister at times. While having a superiority complex, he also makes a point to worship those above him as speakers of the gods themselves, particularly his leader and her advisor, whom he hopes to one day become, or even surpass to gain the knowledge he desperately craves.
Hobbies: Most of the time, Nibiru is researching a way to revert his condition back to normal, to no avail. Other times he's solving incredibly dangerous puzzles that he designed that would cause bodily harm should he get them wrong. He's also very interested in studying the pain tolerance of dragons, hoping to perhaps increase it through his experiments.
Likes: Studying the actions of dragons, the history of the Ki'shan Empire, puzzles, etc.
Dislikes: Dimwits, any who dare disrespect their Ki'shan lineage or their leader, and any who mock his current condition.
Fears: He has a deep fear of never being able to find a way to revert himself back to his beautiful self, and though he never shows it, it still haunts him regardless, most notably in his sleep. He also fears that one day, someone will nut up and try to cause yet another Exaltation for the Ki'sha.

Physical Appearance and Accessories


Height: 25 feet
Length: 47 feet
Wingspan: 74 feet
Scale/Fur/Feathers: His scales are a fleshy color, covering most of his body besides his claws, which are just darkened as if they were burnt.
Eyes: Nibiru's eyes are crocodilian in nature, the iris being a warm shade of amber.
Accessories: A book hanging from a chain around his neck he uses for spells.
Horns/Spikes: Nibiru has horns that are shaped like crystalized antlers, having sharp impurities along what would be the smooth and rounded surface of a deer's antlers. These horns have taken on the color of scorched wood, ashy and dull.
Overall Appearance: Nibiru is generally skinny, though he does have some form of athletic features such as his legs and chest being more fit than an average dragon. His body is dotted with several tentacles that passively writhe about, and react to certain stimuli, particularly when danger and anger is present in or near Nibiru, causing them to react in a more volatile way, writhing violently like a rattlesnake's rattle; these tentacles are also present on his large wings, functioning the same way.

His face is a mangled mess, his mouth sewn shut with his own flesh leaving just a nasty imprint of a mouth that used to be there, forcing him to open small portals filled with the liquidized essence of the food he wants to eat in his mouth, his left eye is almost completely blind, screwing with his depth perception greatly.


Abilities and Strengths


Abilities: Nibiru has no known natural abilities, and it is presumed that they were lost upon his transformation into what he is today.
Strengths: Nibiru has incredible mental fortitude due to his study of the magical world, allowing him to think clearly in harsh situations of stress or danger. Nibiru can have an intimidating presence with his appearance and constant angry looks, giving him an air of danger should one come across him. His above average athleticism allows him to be able to last longer than a normal dragon in most circumstances involving more rigorous activity such as climbing, running, etc.
Weaknesses: Having a bit of a superiority complex, Nibiru tends to underestimate those he sees as lower than him. His deformities on his face have greatly limited his sight, his right eye being the only one he can really see out of, making his peripherals on his left eye essentially useless to him in combat. His magic can be very exhausting to use constantly, and if he's in combat for too long(Anywhere past 8 posts), or if he's exerting himself with his abilities, they will gradually become weaker and weaker until they become entirely useless against others. Family is an extremely touchy subject with Nibiru, and considering he has either lost, or pushed away all that he has had, he would not tolerate any who would dare disrespect his great lineage, even to the detriment of his own image and status in the Ki'sha.

As Nibiru's magicks are all based around his willpower, it's easy to think if one were to focus on combat, they could have an endless supply of damage dealing goodness at their disposal; this notion would be incorrect, and fantasies would be lying to all of the small hatchlings. His magic takes from a pool of willpower that gets smaller and smaller the more spells, and the stronger spells he uses, forcing him to choose between strength of spells and quantity of them, and if he fails to balance these correctly, his magicks could fall completely useless at a very bad time. Typically he would want his fights to last less than 5 minutes long(4 posts), but as he so personally understands, that isn't how reality works, and a lot of the time, he has to push himself to win his matches at his breaking point of 10 minutes(8 posts). Anything past this time grows progressively weaker as time goes on, and eventually around the 15 minute mark(10 posts), his magic essentially becomes weaker than his physical combat.
Fighting Style: Nibiru typically doesn't like to get his claws dirty, so he uses his magic to do his work for him.
Magic: Wormhole Transportation: Nibiru has gained knowledge of how to cut away the fabric of spacetime and theoretical physics to walk among the atoms of the universe, allowing him to enter a stream of nigh infinite entrances and exits leading to gods know where. It allows him to move between one place and another, covering ground very quickly, though not instantly, as he has to precisely map out the path in order to get to where he wants to be along with having to travel through the stream itself to make it there, and it's range is around 2 miles at maximum and 20 feet minimum,meaning travel with this ability could take 40 seconds, or 5 minutes depending on the distance. With this theoretical power, comes the very dangerous risk of complete anihilation of one's molecules should they use it too soon after another use, forcing Nibiru to wait a long while before being able to make another rift to travel through. This is by no means a quiet ability; opening a literal tear in the fabric of space is a violent occurrence that causes a loud crackle of sound, almost like lightning if it landed three feet away from you, should you be within 200 meters of the opening, completely removing all form of potential stealth with this ability. Nibiru has made it a point to anyone who wishes to travel with him that he can transfer a maximum of four, one in his pocket dimension, and two alongside him, otherwise, there's potential for the wormhole to grow too heavy and collapse in on itself, killing them all. With such heavy demands from the user, it is obvious that these catastrophic openings could not last in the world for long as the universe would try and repair it's damage, and so, these openings can stay for up to 3 minutes at a time before collapsing behind those inside, leaving them to either follow to their destination, get absolutely obliterated, or be driven insane by the very properties of the impossible physics of the wormhole itself.(This ability would take 3 posts to fully charge and open a rift, and another 7-8 posts to cool down after exiting into it's desired destination.)

Pocket Dimension: Nibiru has been able to create his own personal little storage dimension which he uses to hold various objects within a sort of stasis type state, keeping them free of wear and other forms of degradation. With this power, he can take and place in whatever he chooses, whenever he likes with the space of approximately one max sized western dragon. With this power, comes the term that he cannot force a living sentient being in his pocket dimension without it's expressed or written permission allowing him so, nor can he store energy that isn't in a physical form(i.e cannot store the explosion of a bomb to release it for later use against others), and since one may like to find a way into said dimension, he has made it so that he must also allow the individual inside by giving them a special temporary rune anywhere on their body that allows them and only them to enter it and not be rejected. Nibiru is able to use this ability as he likes without any negative effects to him or anyone else.

Eldritch Tentacles: Another of Nibiru's strange abilities allows him to summon various tentacles from his body through portals that open around him or his opponent that can use several of the main elemental spells, giving him a wide range of combative spells to use against those who wish him harm. These spells typically take a moment to charge, or several depending on the type of ability it is, such as an ice spear taking longer to cast than a simple fireball.(Casting time is between 1-3 posts. These tentacles cannot cast complex spells, and as such are stuck with mainly basic to adept combat and defensive spells that can't cause massive destruction or complete protection. The maximum amount of tentacles that can be summoned at once is 5, and they all must be one element at a time, as using more than one can cause the user's mind to become too exhausted to use any more spells for a given period)

Nibiru's spells consist of a variety of different uses, such as:

Dark Magic: Typically used in close quarter combat as either a quick splash of seething darkness wanting to consume the light, or imbue his melee combat with an added danger.

Elemental Magic: These spells are used in ranged combat, usually having a maximum effective distance of around 50 feet and consist of main elemental forces like fire and ice.

Eldritch magic: This magic is the strongest of his magicks, taking the longest to use(3 post cast time) and usually have the ability to end combat with a single cast, incapacitating enemies with forces from the Deep and leaving them weakend for a short period(around 2-3 posts), allowing for swift capture or dispatch.

Telepathy: The final of Nibiru's abilities is his ability to use telepathy. This has become his main form of communication besides his guttural grunts and growls due to his fused mouth. Nibiru summons a portal over one's head, allowing for a set of tentacles to come down and attach themselves to the cranium of the one he wishes to speak to, connecting their minds and allowing them to communicate. This ability has to have consent as well, and he cannot force one to connect with his mind.(This ability can be used as he pleases, but the more minds he is connected to, the more tiresome the ability is to keep up, usually leaving him exhausted and irritated after an interaction with multiple dragons at once, typically with more than two others at a time is when his exhaustion will begin to set in.)

It's a himmmm- Okay, seriously though, I really appreciate all the hard work and details you put into the Nibiru! Time to make eldritch spaghetti man a reality-

Personality and the Basics
Species: This is technically fine, but out of curiosity- If he was formerly a Desert Glasswing, do you have a name for what he is currently? It's fine if not, I'm just curious

(Also for those grading afterwards, The Exaltation is the name for the event where the Ki'sha of old sacrificed all of their mages in the name of the gods. It's the event that spawned all the hatred towards "arcane" magic VS the normally accepted "divine" magics that the priests and clerics use; I just- haven't gotten around to adding it to the official lore yet- Shhh, I've been busy-)

Eyes: I think you might've missed this part-
Overall Appearance: Not really an issue with his appearance, just something you may want to consider- How does he eat/drink with his mouth sealed shut? I adore the spooky aesthetic, but that's a problem you'll have to deal with- Also! If "he does have some form of athletic features such as his legs and chest being more fit than an average dragon", then please make sure to mention that he's more athletic than usual in his strengths!

Abilities and Strengths
Alrighty, here comes the big text blocks- cracks knuckles-

Abilities: Okay, first off- are these abilities? The new guide isn't out yet, but please keep in mind that abilities are physical/biological things! Abilities can be explained by science, magic can't be. The wormholes and pocket dimension are definitely magic in my opinion, but I could be swayed either way with the tentacles and telepathy (the tentacles since they're part of his body, and the telepathy since that theoretically could be explained by something in Nibiru's brain). That said, I'm just going to cover them here, and you can move them to wherever when you edit things.

Wormholes: Hoo boy, teleportation, here we go- ...This actually seems well balanced really well explained- Just one question here, you said it's quick, but not instantaneous travel, so how long does it take for Nibiru to get from point A to point B? Also, how long can the wormholes stay open/ how many people can he take with him, if any?

Pocket Dimension: Mmkay, this is also really well explained! Just a couple more questions- what happens to a living being inside the pocket dimension? Is it just like they've been frozen in time, or can they move around and do things in the pocket? Will they run out of air after too long?  How long does it take to open/close the pocket dimension, and can something uninvited jump in while it's open?

Tentacles: This.. also looks pretty good! One question: what's the maximum amount of tentacles he can summon at once?

Also! You mention him being able to cast ice spears and fireballs here as well, please make sure to specify what spells he can cast! You can just like- lump ice spears and fireballs into a single "Elemental Magic" category if you want to, please just make sure to specify all of his magical capabilities so we can get good limits/ranges on them.

Telepathy: Only question here, how many minds does it take before it becomes tiresome?

Strengths and Weaknesses: Make sure to address the "athletic" bit mentioned in his appearance as a strength! As for his weaknesses- how long is "too long" in combat before his magic starts getting weaker?

Just for clarification, is the rift collapsing on someone an instant-kill? Or is it more like "this is collapsing, run if you don't want to die" thing? Remember, can't have instant KO's, they've gotta at least have a chance to get outta there.

How long is the given period?

Spells: Most of my questions are based around the new template for abilities/magic that we're adding, so I'mma just chuck it in here and go into specifics below-

All magics must include:
- Name:
- Brief description of what it does:
- Appearance (if applicable):
- Cooldown time (if applicable):
- Range (if applicable):
- Magnitude of impact (if applicable):

So the main thing I think I'm going to need here is more details. What do they actually do? I'm guessing dark magic can blot out lights and such, but it's also dangerous in some way? What does his elemental magic do? How does the eldritch magic incapacitate/weaken enemies? Can I get an idea of how hard they hit/ how powerful these spells are?


Just make sure you have everything from the template above, and this'll probably be your last round with me!
