Personality and the Basics

Name: Sindria
Pronunciation: Sin-Dri-a
Gender: Female
Type: Western Dragon
Species: Alpines Ice/Rural Fire Dragon Hybrid (Albino)
Age: 49
Date of Birth: February 13th
Personality: Quite the Vengeful and Spicy one, Sindria has an unbending resolve to get back at the ones who wronged her, her parents to be exact. And so forth, exhibits a harsh and arguably unreasonable dislike to all of dragon kind, at least the western ones. Carrying the belief that the such selfishness inhabited by her mother is present in all dragons.. Except her, of course! For this mindset left her in a state of emotional turmoil that could only be defined as ‘crazed’. And ‘Stand-offish’ to say the least. But, not to say she isn't intelligent when it is needed, and it fits her ideals. Quite the Organized, Artful and Enthusiastic one too having strong compassion over the few she can call friends, Despite her Clumsy and Fanatical moments.

Hobbies: Sindria enjoys capturing taming animals in her free time, primarily reptilian in the form of Iguana’s and the such. But occasionally moving to tame other animals when she isn't hungry that is. Also, improving her own designs at engineering to be just more efficient than before is an endeavor commonly taken, making her never too idle. Fishing is also an sortie quite fond of, more than that of traditional hunting on land based terrain.

Likes: Taming, Literature, Ice Fishing
Dislikes: Dragons(Primarily Western Ones), Hot Climates, and an initial disliking to being Ordered around

Fears: Autophobia(Fear of being Alone), Arachnophobia(Fear of Spiders (even small ones)) Acrophobia (Fear of Heights)

Quote:
“I’m Not Lonely! Just… Particularly Independent.”

Origin, Culture, and Family

Place of Origin: Far North, just off the Icelio Sea
Tribe: N/A
Occupation: Nomadic Engineer/Beastmaster
Language: Universal is her primary language, but through access to literature. Holds a rough understanding of most languages
Home: Ancient temple onto a mountain, just off a semi-active volcano(Volcano is up for Loremaster confirmation) and the coast of the Icelio Sea
Parents: Unknown
Siblings: 4 Siblings, unknown name and condition
Relatives: N/A
Mate: N/A
Offspring: N/A
Other Relationships (Pets): 2x Mountain 'Thalators', 4x 'Drusian' Lizards

History: Sindria is, or has been bastardized. For short. Not an inherently bad dragon or anything, being born in a race of ice-breathing blue dragons. But, The fact is, she was outcast by her mother at just over a month of age due to her actually being Albino, Lacking in any prominent colorations that would make for flare, The ‘weakest scaled’, And one of many females amongst her siblings rendered her rather useless and an unworthy endeavor to continue supplying, and so was promptly ‘accidently’ hit with a tail swing and launched off the side of a 300+ Meter high cliff.

To be fair, she fell pretty well for a hatchling, At least gliding down, and trying to climb back up said cliff for about another month before hunger got the best of her and she realized her fate. At Least attempted too. Still believing it was just an ‘accident’ and her mother would soon come down to rescue her.. Soon. For now, hunting on her lonesome without any actual experience, but due to her sheer mass was able to at least catch up to the small prey the size of rabbits and fish nearby. Only just having formed teeth sharp enough to actually kill. Then hunting sheep and goats, then bulls and even bears.

As time passed and her thoughts of a benevolent parenthood eventually came unsheathed to reveal the condemning blade of truth once she entered the ages of adolescence. Forced to learn how to hunt, fly and even clean herself all by her lonesome. Eventually having decided to part ways anywhere near the mountain she once called home. Simply picking a direction off her gut feeling, and flying towards there. This direction just happened to be southwest, and. She ended up traveling for 2 years in search of some sort of permanent shelter. Eventually, ending up seeing the completely isolated ruins of a draconic temple, likely only inhabited over 1000 years ago due to the state of its degradation. But, to this outcasted juvenile. It looked like a premium vacation stay. . . After the first few times the ceiling fell down and almost collapsed onto her at least. With this, over the next 7 years she dedicated her time exploring and reading the ancient draconic texts.(That survived hundreds of years of decay) Learning from the time there and by adulthood, understanding the basics of sorcery. But, not to say she was such.. Master in that area. These spells are only being effectively used on relatively small reptiles. And of course, she wouldn't test these potentially harmful and newly found items on herself in order to learn of its powers! That would be like eating a divine rock in order to protect it from getting eaten by someone else!

Her first significant actions of sorcery were actually performed on living subjects, Reptiles, captured in makeshift snare and cage traps placed rather carelessly at the outskirts of wooded areas, plains, and dunes. iguana’s, crocodiles and more moderately sized lizards were deemed the most important subjects, for after reciting straight from the ancient scrolls in confined testing cells. And, after the first few ‘Flukes’ resulting in… The subjects slowly boiling alive from the inside.. She was able to cast spells of temporal fire resistance, to tame, and to allow for these subjects to understand her speech.. However they would use it. Making her a little servantry ‘army’ of reptiles that could be tamed and trained for… Most actions. And she would certainly need the help, in her practice of renovating the temple that only seemed to be collapsing a little more every month. But to do this of course, they needed material. This temple probably took nearly a hundred years to actually build, with plenty of dragons too! So, in order to even dare to repair in a timely manner. She’d have to make an efficient way of getting that material. But both luckily and unlucky, A mountain just across from the one that very temple was built on housed a volcano. And it was a very much active one too. But so there were nearby bodies of water. The perfect recipe for Granite Making.

And so, with her little reptilian workforce, and vague partially ruined schematics recovered from the temple, she made a makeshift smeltery at the very boundary between the volcanic mountain and accompanying body of water to the mountains. It was called Stonehenge. Merely because she found a ruined scroll that only had its title of ‘Stonehenge’ actually visible, because rain was leaking through the ceiling into the library of the temple. Utilizing this, at first; Very inefficient at first, procuring heaps of stone, little more supportive than what made up the roof of the very temple they were trying to support. But, after a few years. The process was improved on, and Stonehenge grew bigger in size and production quality. The process of rebuilding was done through her Reptilian workforce carrying slabs of stone from the indeed quite hot forging area up to the mount where the temple was, carrying it up the mountain at least half a kilometer in difference of elevation from the level of the forge. Once dropped in the allocated spot, Sindria herself would need to grab and carry the slab of stone into position, making use of Ice Breath to help freeze the stone into place, and allow for a more easy natural settling over time.

Later on with her endeavors onto repairing the temple, Uncovering a hidden chambers of the small mountaintop temple uncovered due to one of her reptilian servants clearing away debris, she ventured into the small chambers, it having the sole presentation of a pure white stone glistening with divine light. She could uncover no scrolls about its value or purpose. But clearly took it as something of Great Value! Taking it as her most valued subject. Even after she trained and cared for reptilian ones, who she did innately care for as her own. This careful value eventually led to extreme caution and secrecy, as frankly. There was little place to hide it, and she thought her own servants were going to eat it.. So, taking the most rational decision. She ate the white glistening stone.. And, it did indeed seem like a normal stone.. For a little while at least.
Little to her own awareness, this stone would begin taking its effects overnight, creating a bright white glow from her chest and slight stomach aches that would gradually increase in severity and would lead to her thorax aching. Though after a few months, these abnormal effects would mostly saturate. Only a slight glow was visible every time she made use of her abilities to spew breath.. Up until she was ‘fishing’ with the use of her Ice Breath. And instead shot out a pure beam of white light that simply evaporated the initially hit surface of the water in a ball of steam.

But, it worked. And soon a few… Dozen fish raised to the surface. And her little unit of reptiles ate well that night! After, yet another day of working in acts of restoration of course. And after a dozen years of taxing work, the temple could finally be deemed.. 70~ 80% repaired.. Livable though! And that was good enough for the time being, as this was extremely taxing for this one dragon and her triage of.. Less than draconic reptiles. Though, she would start to gradually wonder. Where in the world true dragons were.. Not that she thought it’d be a bad thing if she was the last dragon left in the world, of course!

Overall Appearance: (Credit to Mariah Geiger from Pinterest) Sindria, The Albino Albino10

Abilities and Strengths
Abilities: Breathes Ice based attacks, Can Propel Beams of Burning ‘Divine’ Light. Casts Spells to Tame Beasts
Strengths: Skin is resistant to extreme cold, Ice possesses Significantly longer Effective Range then fire based attacks from dragons of the same size, Large wingspan allows for quick landing, takeoffs, retreats, and flying at higher speeds. Her Ice Breath is able to freeze streams over both land and river, and on living targets, when under the bear of constant fire beings may not only have their movements slowed due to muscles being constricted. But on targets significantly smaller than herself, they can completely be frozen over. This breath can also be used up to a minute continuously, And can actually be used again akin to this like a minute, due to the relatively low strain breathing ice has internally instead of fire.

Weaknesses: Skin is relatively thin and weak to clawed attacks, Weak in extremely hot climates and to heat based attacks, Exhausts rather quickly in high-stress situations, And claws are suited for picking up objects rather than offensives. Icy breath inflicts significantly less immediate damage, but actually. More damage over time then that of fire breath, simply because Reptiles are Cold-Blooded. But the primary weakness yet again comes from the initial damage against draconic targets. With thick scales, it possesses a much more strategic threat than a tactical one. Its use of slowing defensively and peacefully 'persuading' those to vacate premises better than actually being an offensive means.

Fighting Style: Prefers using breath attacks from range, in either dive bombing-like attacks for initial saturation of a target. Or controlled bursts at a distance on the ground.

Magic: Capable of casting magic on reptilian beasts. Including spells of; Heat Resistance, Understanding of Speech, and even to Tame. But, the effects of these spells have not been tested, and therefore aren't nearly as effective as if used on true Draconiformes. These spells are cast directly from a book of spells due to the relative inexperience with casting Sindria has. And with this, can't cast it on herself with the low power she has.

Heat Resistance Casting; The effects of these spells allow the recipients to have their current internal temperature to be retrained under fire, making the effect of outside heating elements reduced by almost 3 times for a period of up to 10 minutes. This ability has the most prominent cooldown of her castable abilities, only able to be inflicted upon 2 units over a period of half an hour.
Tame/Understand Speech; This ability, Whilst primarily made to be used on feral beasts, can also be used on Dragons in order to instill a better understanding of most languages, Primarily Universal. But while being used to calm and instill a tame state onto animals, the duration is actually rather variable depending on the.. Cognitive ability of what it's used on, and if it's been used on the recipient before. Anywhere from making something tame and understanding for just 2 hours before rooting back to their feral means. Up to a month or even a year depending on the amount of use. It is able to be used akin to the cooldown of her Resistance castable ability, taking about half an hour to be used again.

Divine Beam; Due to her.. Great idea to eat a stone she founded sitting in an abandoned temple for centuries. Sindria now possesses the ability to shoot beams burning of light from her maws. The primary difference to fire this sense of magic has, is the fact that the beam is much more focused, concise, accurate. Maybe even more 'civilized' from her point of view. Despite herself knowing rather little of the ability. This Magic 'ability' Is much less of an active ability. And more of a last-ditch and effort bellowed by her pure spirt to survive in high stress environments. With this in mind, Should it have to be used this beam of light lasts for a duration of up to 12 seconds, releasing a ray of light that first settles into the ground or subjects, before exploding this ground in a consecutive stream of explosions across the area. Though the beam is concise, it is extremely taxing on Sindria, and is even harder to control and aim. After using this ability, it'd likely completely exhaust her from combat. And would take at least the rest of the day to fully recover from.

Pet Info:

Name: Mountain Thalator

Physical Description: Mountain Thalator are a species of Generally solitary 6-legged feline-like predators that inhabit the mountain tops of Laytian, which can be extremely territorial. Some Thalators are known to patrol a territory of just over 300 kilometers, and primarily hunt at night, and most typically live deep within caves within the frosty alps of Laytian. They have an armored neck and back, a massive distensible jaw, and twenty-three centimeter long sharp teeth. The Thanator has burnished black skin. Its ten external sensory quills are colored bright red and yellow. The upper lip folds back for maximum tooth extension. And they are approximately 6 meters long (19’8”) and 2.5 meters tall (8’2”). It has six long legs, and two sets of operculum on each side of its neck. When sensing prey or for threats it can raise its front body and two front legs, standing on its four back legs to scan the area.

The two hearts of a Thanator can also beat up 286 whilst resting, and a massive 450 when sprinting in less than 5 seconds. And they can sprint to contending around to exceeding 50 mph on both flat and mountainous terrains due to their possession of 6 legs, able to go even quicker when going downhill or from a jump. Their powerful legs allow them to jump up to 28 feet high and cross a length of 54 feet. The skeletal design of Thanator gives them the clear impression of a greatly reinforced pair of jaws. Further reinforced by the fact that it allows them to bite down with a force of over 4000 pounds across the entirety of their maws. The position in between the very front of their jaws being a massive 6500 pounds of force, allowing them to very well bite through steel and all but the thickest of hides.

Each of their 6 legs having 4 sharp claws on a hand-like base. Giving them the ability to scale mountains with relative ease. With another physical trait being their Armored tail, which can act like a mace in times of defense from other Thalators, or other potential predators. Acting as a mace that works just as well for thumping intimidation tactics as a weapon that crushes bones as equally as hide armor.

Abilities:

Psychedelic Auditory Lure: This is the most clever of all abilities that keen predator has at its disposal, A Lure that is further amplified when viewed. Emitted from the ten sensory quills that sprout from sections of armor plating that encircle the rear of its skull. These quills flare up and produce a more menacing appearance when used in its Psychedelic sense. Both flaring up and flicking between rapid and slow motions. Producing a disjunctive ‘beat’ of sorts, with key and time signature changes. When used on prey, Draconic or not. It has the ability of short-circuiting key brain regions when heard in close proximity, which can cause temporary loss of consciousness, tempting a trance-like state for a period of up to 10 seconds, typically. Long enough for the Thalator to prepare a pounce. But this effect can be greatly multiplied when looking directly at the head of the Thalator, Making all but the strong mental wills bend into a complete freeze, akin to looking at Medusa. But without turning into stone. In fact, it only causes a temporal coma at worst lasting for 30 seconds, and only when its view isn't broken over a duration of at least half a minute. Though this is typically Long enough for the afflicted to not feel a Thalator ripping them to pieces, In a way. It's actually mercy. They have even been seen to be used in a sort of modal melody in court-ship trials. So it's not ALL bad!

Keen Smell/Vision; like their closest Feline look-alikes. They also possess a keen sense of smell. Which when combined with its hearing, it is able to detect land based animal prey from up to 2 kilometers away, during both day and night with its subsequent night vision. Actually, in the form of using different sets of eyelids, almost like changing up goggles more than actually blinking, or a passive form of night vision. Though. This night vision has been seen to be vulnerable to flashes of light. And even a mere torch can practically blind a Thalator in low-light conditions. The position of a Thalator can also be easily given away by the fact its eye emits a green glare in the night.

Echolocation This ability is ties with their sensory quills, given their purposeful sensitivity akin to whiskers of their distant Feline cousins, And them being tied to an internal mechanism of prey location, in a passive form of echolocation and an active form of heartbeat detection. It works best in Caverns, Buildings, And the rare wooded areas that they might be taken to when prey items are scarce in their natural habitat.. Or if some lonely dragon decides to- This Also acts as a catalyst for its own heartbeat in cases of high adrenaline situations. And it has an effective range less of that as its sense of smell given its being to be used in low-visibility settings, that of a kilometer when used in more open areas outside and its maximum if let loose in a wooded area.

Sindria, The Albino Thalat10

Name: Drusian Lizards

Physical Description: These lizards are often spotted in caves and around cliffs along the Laytian mountains in groups of 3 up to 15. And despite actually being a sort of herbivore, feeding off of rock formations. And have a diet of rodents, eggs, smaller mammals, large insectoids and flies, and even fish should a body of water suffice near mountainous terrain. Drusian Lizards are also very tasty, but are best grilled well on a stick and eaten without the claws to not induce any comas. Proving to be quite crunchy and savory otherwise. They can also scurry up to 16 mph when in danger, and can extend their external gills in order to intimate potential predators'. But this action is commonly to actually be followed up by a projectile of their acidic spit.

The rather thick and hot conditioned hides of Drusian lizards makes them adept at surviving in hot conditions. It turns out, even extremely hot ones. As they typically call volcanoes their home. Actually feeding off and breaking down the minerals of rock after softening them up from making use of their acidic spit. And to further break down these rocks if necessary, they possess 1000 pounds of bite force in their small and compact profile. Their docility met with an unexpected amount of force, akin to that of a snapping turtle. And its effectiveness against hardened rock can also be recited on living tissue too, scales included. Speaking about scales, They also possess camouflage standards of that of their smaller, more rural counterparts able to blend in with their mountainous terrain with ease should a potential predator be detected.

Of which Detection they can achieve through sensing vibrations in the ground with their webbed feet, this is primarily used to actually gather information about magma formations and even tectonic movements. They are also significantly bigger than traditional forest lizards. Growing up to be 12 feet long and 4 feet high. Also possessing layered eyelids in their eyes that allow them to switch between thermal, night and regular form of vision, like goggles. But Geo-Friendly.

Abilities:
Poison; Through Application with their sharp claws or through their snapping maws. This rather fast acting poison that also serves as a degrading acid is not only used to break down mineral formations for edibility, but also can break down the nervous system of a penetrated animal's skin within about a minute to 5 depending on the size of animal in question. It, of course, takes a bit longer in the form of just over 5 minutes for Draconic targets. But the threat to those will only come if they happen to penetrate the scales of one. Which due to their docile nature, is unlikely. But not out of complete possibility. Since they can also project their acidic spit out to 12 meters effectively. Once effectively applied, this comatose effect works for about 5 minutes. Which should be long enough for even a Lizard to escape the clutches of a predator.

Camouflage; Like their smaller Desert Rural or Wetlands cousins, These Lizards can also blend into their surrounding grounds. And given their docile nature, it'd be rare to see one out of the ordinary in their natural habitats. Taking about half an hour to fully accumulate to any given setting, their camouflage lasts like a second skin until the occasion comes for them to actually move from the nice and comfy campgrounds.

Heat and Vibration Detection; Making use of both visual abilities to detect heat, possessing layered eyelids in their eyes that allow them to switch between thermal and normal forms of vision, like goggles. But Geo-Friendly. And a separate but typically combined ability to sensing vibrations in the ground with their webbed feet, that is primarily used to actually gather information about magma formations and even tectonic movements. Which is in fact, very helpful when you go out for your breakfast Granite meal and you DON'T want to fall into a pit of Lava. Something, not too many species actually want. Oddly Enough.

Sindria, The Albino Empty Re: Sindria, The Albino

Post by EmriTheUnstoppable Sun Dec 12, 2021 2:39 pm

Alrighty, so sorry for the delay!! Everyone's been a bit busy with the holidays and whatnot, but I'll try and be more active if you've got questions about things >:)

Personality and the Basics
The fact that you ACTUALLY described her as the "spicy one" kills me, oh my god- But anyways, this section looks good to me!

Origin, Culture, and Family
Position: This portion of the app actually refers to their position within a tribe, so since she's a rogue, this section would be "N/A" or something like that. But you can add a section for "Occupation" down below that if you'd like!
Home: Just a minor note here that I'll leave to Savan, our loremaster, to verify/make sure it's okay, but make sure to double check about locational stuff! I don't believe that there's a volcano off the Icello coast, but you can talk with Sav to see if he has anything that would work for you!

Physical Appearance and Accessories
Everything looks good to me in this section!! Just make sure to credit the artist who made your appearance ref, then you should be good to go!

Abilities and Strengths
This section is- really well written! That being said, this is usually the section that people struggle with the most, so let's get into it:

Abilities: Alrighty, the main thing I've gotta ask for is more details. How many times can she do these, how often, is there a cool down, etc (I'll throw the template that has the format for all the answers I'm looking for down below.) Secondly, abilities are biological things! For examples, think of squid ink, electric eels, a snake's venom, etc. If it can be explained by science? It's an ability! Otherwise it's magic. That being said, this is a fantasy world so I'd be willing to let the ice breath slide, but the other two would definitely be magics.

Magic: Mostly the same as abilities! Just gimme some more details as for the restrictions and such, and I'll take another look!

All abilities/magics MUST include:
- Name:
- Brief description of what it does:
- Appearance (if applicable):
- Cooldown time (if applicable):
- Range (if applicable):
- How hard it hits (if applicable):

NOTE: If your times are very small (i.e. less than 10 minutes) then make sure to add post limits instead/as well! This is because time in RP's can be REALLY difficult to pin down in small quantities, so post limits helps to keep everything fair and even!

P e t s :
Alrighty, these are likely going to need to get Savan's approval just to make sure it's a-okay to make em cannon creature's, but I'll go ahead and grade their abilities and such regardless! (Also, would you mind breaking these paragraphs up into a couple smaller paragraphs, preferably one per ability/mentioned special thingy? Tis' a minor thing, but it'd make em m u c h easier to read than a massive wall of text is^^)

Notes for both: Make sure to find and credit the artist(s) who created the image refs! Also, make sure to add the details that the template above calls for! Gotta have some more deets, especially on the Psychedelic Luring for the Thalator, and the poisons on the Lizards

Mountain Thalator: Okay, first off (just a minor nit pick) but "When used on prey, both sapient or not" kiiiiinda implies humans, so I'd change that to reference "draconic creatures", OR "sentient creatures" if that's what you meant to write. Also, detecting things 12km away is W A Y too far, try bringing that down to like- a few hundred feet? Sound waves only travel so far, the best hearing in the WORLD won't even help you hear deer from miles away, especially when they're just like- walking around or something. The speed a l s o might be a bit much? I'll have to talk to staff and see what they say about a max running speed, but for now I'd say to bring it down to like- 40-60mph, and I'll get back to you on the official max speed limits.

Drusian Lizard: This is also really well explained! A couple minor notes: If they literally eat rocks, it might be worth mentioning their strength! I imagine that it'd take a BIT of strength to chew up rocks and minerals. Also, do they only eat minerals? It's mentioned in your history that they ate fish too, but I just wanted to make sure. Lastly, make sure to apply limits and specifics to their abilities! How far does their night/thermal vision extend, how powerful is the acid, etc.

Bump when edited, and feel free to ping/DM me on Discord if you've got any questions!
