Personality: An esteemed and respected Ki’shan noblewoman, Ophelia Frost is, in a word, alluring. There’s something about this mysterious dragoness- be it her exotic appearance, her mesmerizing wiles, or her sharp wit- but whatever it is, Ophelia commands the attention and respect of all those she encounters. She simply speaks and walks with a gravity that captures the attention of those around her as soon as she enters a room. Ophelia is always kind and courteous of course, but this dragoness is anything but open and always holds her cards close to her chest for a very good reason: Ophelia shouldn’t even be alive.

Ophelia is a member of a long extinct species of dragon known as the Mirrors. Mirror society catastrophically collapsed thousands of years ago, and- though some bizarre magical circumstances- Ophelia was placed into a magical stasis. She remained in this suspended state for thousands of years, only being awakened a few hundred years ago by her beloved Isadore. He helped reintroduce her to this new world, and- over the years- Ophelia settled rather comfortably into Ki’shan society. Although she may have started out as Isadore’s “mysterious foreign bride”, Ophelia quickly earned a reputation of kindness, sincerity and helpfulness amongst the Ki’sha; something rather odd for one of noble blood, as most Ki’shan nobles are as cutthroat as their politics (some taking that more literally than others). Most notably, however, is her utter devotion to her mate and child. Isadore and Yenira are Ophelia’s whole world. She would do anything for them, and anything to protect them.

Underneath that kind and helpful exterior, however, there is a darker side to this compassionate soul.

Ophelia is sick. Physically sick, although- if they knew the true extent of her actions- some would no doubt declare her mentally ill as well. As mentioned, her extended magical stasis changed her physiology quite a bit, but- unfortunately- not all of the changes were for the better. Her metamorphosis left her changed, mutated almost beyond recognition. At first, Ophelia reveled in her newfound abilities and strengths, but soon discovered the multitude of new detrimental conditions that were the cost of her powers. As such, Ophelia is searching for methods to cure these unfortunate afflictions, and conducting some… hands on research, on those unfortunate enough to fall into her hands.

Her laboratory below the Frost Manor is proof enough of her intellectual madness, an obsession with the manipulation of the boundary between life and death, filled with numerous “experiments” of various natures performed on these poor, unfortunate souls. Her driving motivation for these torturous techniques is not, however, cruelty or vengeance- although it is certainly not unheard of for various rivals to find their ways onto her operating table- but rather out of self preservation. Ophelia is dying. Slowly, yes, she’s managed to prolong her life this long, but without a cure, her condition will eventually kill her. She broke the world for her family once already, she cannot allow herself to lose them again.

Hobbies: In her free time, Ophelia can often be found spending time with her beloved Isadore, perusing the shelves of the Kravros for various tomes and scrolls, in her office pouring over reports from the spy network, or- in secret- practicing her magic, performing her often heinous experiments in the company of her daughter Yenira, and otherwise frantically searching for ways to cure herself.
Likes: Ophelia likes peace and quiet, a nice cup of tea in the evening, keeping an orderly house, managing the various household servants, cooking (surprisingly), architecture, parties, balls and other social events, and lastly, getting the inside scoop on the latest Ki’shan gossip.
Dislikes: Ophelia despises filth with all of her being. Things MUST be kept clean and orderly, or she’s likely to have a mental breakdown. Other things that Ophelia dislikes are mud (for obvious reasons, with the VERY specific exception of mud for beauty treatments), those who are overly blunt, stupidity, the poor, mention of her past and her old family, and failure. Ophelia hates to fail, and has an almost obsessive NEED to succeed in everything she does.
Fears: Ophelia fears death, naturally, but more specifically, she fears that she may never find a cure for her condition, and will waste away, leaving her family alone and abandoned. And that brings us to her second fear: the deaths or serious injuries of Isadore and Yenira. She loves her family, and simply cannot bear the thought of either of them in peril.

Place of Origin: Originally? Deep within the Icello region. She was ”reborn” within one of the Mirror Tombs that dot the icy wastes.

Siblings: Tinuviel and Juneosiren, Shigane, Barune, and Hareen. (Tin and June she has only recently discovered still live, she had assumed they perished with the rest of the Mirrors)

Height: 17ft tall

Wingspan: 62ft wide
Scale/Fur/Feathers: Ophelia’s scales are small and smooth, like those of a snake. Her scales are a deep, rich purple colour with a lighter purple underbelly, and bright green fins. Additionally, when Ophelia has not fed upon the energy of others (Details under Magic), her coloration begins to fade as grey creeps further in along her fins and wings towards her chest. Her coloration swiftly returns to normal as soon as she feeds again.
Eyes: 2 pairs of bright, vividly toxic green, with rarely visible white pupils.
Accessories: Ophelia lives a life of wealth and luxury, and as such she will often be decorated in any number of tasteful yet expensive accessories such as necklaces, rings, scarves, cloaks, earrings, etc… Her most commonly worn accessories would be an assortment of semi-transparent dark purple silks, a veil over the lower half of her face, numerous gold earrings, a pair of golden spectacles for reading, and several other valuable bangles on her wrists, ankles and (very) occasionally on her tail. The only piece of jewelry that she’s never seen without is her silver raven skull, the eyes of which can sometimes seem to have a faint green glow within its empty sockets.
Horns/Spikes/Fins: Ophelia has no true horns by any means, but she is adorned with numerous elegant fins along her the back of neck, spine, and tail that are a bright, toxic green, but outlined in black, with patterns almost resembling closed eyes along them. Eye patterns, which “open” into real neon green eyes when Ophelia is enraged.

Fighting Style: Ophelia is a master of arcana, casting spells and weaving her enchantments from the backlines. Her specialties are in enchantments and supporting magic, and- secretly- necromancy. She possesses a number of offensive spells, largely necromantic in nature, and will not hesitate to use them on her enemies.
