Lespernii, the Seedkeeper
First topic message reminder :
Name: Lespernii
Gender: Female
Type: Western dragon
Species: Earth
Age: 24
Date of Birth: February 14th
Personality:
Cold hearted and vain. Lespernii was among a selected number of dragons who follow the old tradition of her ancestors. She strongly believed in the dragons’ strengths and that they should be seen as the kings and queens of the world. In particular, she strongly favours the queens, and how males should engage in aattle against one another to earn the right for courtship with the queen of interest. She was very fond of praises to her strength and beauty, but very hostile against anything which she deemed to be putting dragons to a level equal to or lower than that of humans. Though she came from another realm where humans were rampant, she feared the day they would infest like rats and spread towards this world.
Because of her personality, it was rather difficult for Lespernii to find any friends. But if befriended, she could deem to be a very loyal ally willing to offer her thoughts on the matter, as well as providing any herbal remedies if needed. However, she could also be very assertive of her ideals when around a group of dragons. It would be advised that a dragon catch Lespernii’s interest before she could demonstrate any respect for them.
That aside, Lespernii was rather insensitive and her actions could be deemed questionable. As a scholar, she was very ambitious, willing to go beyond what was known to achieve what she wanted. This could lead to her performing experiments on other dragons, taking samples from them, or even making plants that may not be safe. However, there were rare moments where she could demonstrate sympathy and compassion towards others. Additionally, she was rarely all talk. Time and time again, Lespernii was able to demonstrate the extent of her intellect and her strengths, capable of deducing what other dragons needed and immediately acting upon it. Very rarely did she commit to actions by impulse, and she was sure to analyse the situation before asserting her opinions. Overall, not the nicest of dragons, but a very outspoken and idealistic female heavily influenced by the old traditions of dragons.
Additionally, Lespernii demonstrated decent leadership skills, having found the Mother Cult and setting her plans in action to see that her idol and goddess would return upon the world to cleanse the realm from the 'filth' and obsolete, so that dragons may once again prosper for many generations to come. She claimed that she could hear Mother's voice and therefore able to enact her will upon the world, though others saw her as schizophrenic because of this. There were no evidence for one or the other, as only Lespernii could hear the whispers of the Mother tree (which she planted in her garden), with the tree itself possessing strange and ancient magic.
Despite her proud nature as a dragon, she was far from perfect. Although she heavily supported the tradition that males should earn the right to a female, she struggled to see potential in most males to bearing her eggs. Instead, her companionship with other females extended almost over the line, and she admitted to herself that she found some of the females more attractive. It was a taboo that would leave a permanent scar on her if her secret was discovered. This was part of the reason why Lespernii was almost always alone, and she was rather bent on researching and hoping to find something that would help 'cure' her.
Hobbies:
Botany
Lespernii was heavily committed to her work and dealings with plants and honey. Her work with plants include combining magic/alchemy with plants to create new plants with unique features not documented before. These include making plants that seem to be 'alive' and moving about, and defensive flowers with some form of attacking capabilities. In fact, Lespernii had a huge garden dedicated to her work and experiments. Anyone who dared to wander her garden would find themselves bombarded with an endless variety of exotic flowers and such. It was unknown to what end that motivated her to continue making different sorts of plants, but she was involved in a team of healers to make new herbal remedies and it was rumoured that she believed in a powerful forest spirit.
Honey
Lespernii kept a number of hives with bees directed to different specific floral species in order to produce pure honey. These honeys were what Lespernii was fond of collecting and experimenting to discover their properties. More commonly she found them capable of healing a variety of wounds, including but not limited to infections or ulcers. She continued to look for different honeys and preserving them for future use. Sometimes she would even sell these honeys if she had an excess of them. A problem of some of these honeys were that Lespernii could have added other substances into them, causing unwanted side effects after consumption, but nothing too harmful or annoying to deal with.

Overall Appearance:
Abilities:
Plant manipulation
Lespernii is highly gifted in the ability to use plants all around her or grown by her to her will. For plants that are already in the area, she only need to catch a glimpse of them. Her eyes will glow more intensely before the plants would stir as if they are alive beasts. What Lespernii does to these plants depend on what she needs. E.g. if she is controlling vines, she can manipulate them to thrash about or bind her targets. If a large tree, she can make the thick branches move to swing and strike her enemies. Additionally, she can cause them to overgrow to large sizes, though will cost slightly more energy than simply controlling them. Lespernii can also manipulate them to absorb certain vitamins, minerals or trace elements in the soil to enhance different aspects of the plant, including hardness.
If there are no plants in the area, or none which Lespernii has any need of, she can permanently summon one. She focuses on a particular area on the ground, where a small green spell circle would appear and a magic plant will grow from the centre. The further the spell circle is, up to 2000ft from her, the greater the delay before plants will sprout from them (up to a 2 second delay), but the plants will need to be matured before they are fully functional (1 second). Summoning a plant within 800ft in radius around her will be instantaneous, although it still takes 1 second to mature fully. The role of these plants vary, depending on what types of plant Lespernii grows. Some may thrash around as if they were alive with thorny vines, some into poison/venom bearing plants, some would grow into acid-spitting flowers or thorn spitters, and some may even bloom into flowers that would give off mental healing and soothing scents to Lespernii or other dragons (foes included) in a small radius. Lespernii may also concentrate to increase the circle, summoning larger plants (no bigger than her size) or summon vines to bind her foes in place. The type of plants she can bloom is limited only to her imagination, and she even bloom herbs and ingredients to create medicines etc.
Strengths:
Physical
Being a spellcaster, Lespernii doesn’t sport much of an advantage when it comes to physical attacks. Her strength is subpar compared to another female of equal size, and she doesn’t have the physical stamina required to engage in a lengthy close combat. Her speed is only slightly above average, though the only impressive feat which she could perform with this was being able to cast off multiple spells, and moving onto the next phase of her plan before the spells could finish firing off at her target. Despite her average speed, she can perform swift clawing strikes at close enemies, not to make them bleed, but to rake at their eyes before slamming her claws to push them some distance away.
Mental
Despite having Mother’s voice whispering into her ear, Lespernii possessed strong mental willpower, making her highly resistant to mental influences like hypnosis or anxiety attacks. She also possess high levels of intellect, though did not find much use of it in battle, only knowing to keep her distance and let her plants deal with her enemies. Though with her mentality, she is able to manipulate plants of an entire forest all at once at the cost of some mental strain and a need to rest afterwards.
One with the Forest
Lespernii can easily develop a strong bond with the spirits of any forest, even with those where only strands of grass would grow. As such, she can connect her senses with them, allowing her to ‘feel’ the entire forest, from the highest leaf to the deepest roots of grass. Through this, she can therefore manipulate these plants to her will, and sense odd ‘disturbances’ that can include approaching enemies or a lost explorer.
Advanced magic user
Many of Lespernii’s attacks are based off from magic, and years of practising allowed her to build the stamina needed to cast several minor spells and with minimal effort, to the point that they are like muscle memory to her. Although she can subconsciously cast simple spells, advanced ones or those influencing larger areas of the field will require her to briefly set up her magic before initiating attacks. She can recover her magical energy as quickly as how much it would cost to create two individual large plants, sporting good magic recovery rate as well.
Weaknesses:
Physical
As mentioned above, Lespernii has subpar strength and physical stamina compared to another dragon of her size and only just breaking average with her speed. Forcing a close-combat fight with her would quickly put her in a desperate situation.
Fire element
Should be a given, since Lespernii’s body is almost literally made of plant matter that are rather flammable. Anything that can cause so much as a spark can light her body on fire, if her enemies aren’t fire users. Although whatever Lespernii summons or changes is permanent, they are still very susceptible to fire. Lespernii cannot control plants that are lit in flames as it will also 'burn her mind' as well.
Predictable plant summoning
Lespernii's spellcircles are large no matter how small her plants are (40ft in diameter, but they will increase in size to accommodate for larger plants) and they glow green. Therefore, unless she creates them behind her targets, plant summoning is appalling for sneak tactics. This, in addition to up to a 3 second delay before a mature plant is grown, makes it very easy for distant enemies to dodge her attacks. Lespernii normally summons plants to attack enemies if they are too close to her, or for setting up purposes.
Ground-based fighter
Lespernii's kit is made for ground-based combat only. Her strengths at aerial combat is appalling, where her skills and abilities do not offer any aerial advantage. Because of this, Lespernii tends to avoid using her wings and will only fight on land.
Bound in place
Some of Lespernii’s spells require her to be rooted in place to take effect, and she cannot escape being rooted until the next post. Use this as a window of opportunity to land a sneak attack on her.
Fighting Style: Ground combatant and magic wielder, capable of both long and short ranged combat. Lespernii is more of a back-liner when it comes to combat situations. From there, while busying her foes with her plants, she would analyse their behaviour, attack pattern and styles before looking for any weaknesses she can exploit. Especially with how energy intensive her ability is, she cannot afford to waste her plants on pointless actions that do not give her any advantages. Her mind is well trained in manipulating the plants that it is basically second nature to her. Without really trying, she can immediately conjure a spell circle to summon a plant within a blink, although it has to be very close to her.
Magic: Plant element conjurer. Lespernii is gifted with potent magic from the forest, allowing her to conjure and manipulate all plant life at her will. She can also go as far as combining these plants with her magic to grow new, exotic plants with an endless number of possible properties.
The following is a list of plants Lespernii can conjure:

The following is a list of plants Lespernii can conjure:
- Spoiler:
Root
Lespernii roots herself into the ground. Vines would spring out from her legs and bury into the ground, latching her down. While rooted, Lespernii has greater control over her plants, making them more ‘enraged’ and therefore potent in their effects. However, in her rooted state, she is immobilised, and cannot escape until the next post.
Duration: Indefinite
Cooldown: None.
Thorn Armour
Thorn vines would grow and intertwine safely all around Lespernii, with thorns jutting outwards. Once adequately covered, Lespernii would uproot them, keeping them bound to her for 5 posts. Thorn armour, however, is rather heavy, and therefore hampers Lespernii’s physical mobility. Armour can protect her from some physical attacks, and can be used as a weapon itself to sting and pierce enemies. Cannot be used in conjunction with Pollen Shield.
Cooldown: 3 posts (after duration ended)
Pollen Shield
Flowering vines would grow and intertwine around Lespernii, the flowers then releasing pollen that condenses in a yellow translucent sphere around her. While ineffective against enemies coming in close combat, the pollen shields Lespernii from ranged elemental or magic attacks for 5 posts. Cannot be used in conjunction with Thorn Armour.
Cooldown: 3 posts (after duration ended)
Elemental plants
If Lespernii’s legs or tail are in contact with certain elements, e.g. water, she is able to summon plants of elements based on what she is in contact with. Effects of these elements will depend on what she stood on.
Cooldown: Passive
Acid Thorn-Spitter
A basic plant with offense capabilities, appearing as a large budding lily that springs open with an acid-drenched thorn shooting out of it to pierce into enemies. Can shoot one thorn per post. The acid is not venomous, but can cause severe burning pain like a bee sting the longer it is left lodged into a target. Lespernii can grow these on her body as well.
Cooldown: 1 post
Envenomed vines
Another basic plant with offense capabilities, though appearing as simply a rope of vines with a sharp tip that oozes venom. One lash from this vine can cut into soft flesh, such as the underbelly, or infect exposed wounds in a thick hide. The venom causes pain and mild paralysis of affected areas, making it difficult to move those areas, like they are severely weakened. Lespernii can grow these on her body as well.
Cooldown: 1 post.
Mass Acid Thorn-Spitter
Root required. An advanced spell costing a significant portion of Lespernii’s magical energy. Within a 200ft radius, a cluster of acid thorn-spitters would erupt to shoot at enemies. Some of these would grow on Lespernii as well.
Cooldown: 3 posts.
Mass Envenomed vines
Root required. An advance spell costing a significant portion of Lespernii’s magical energy. Within a 200ft radius, a cluster of Envenomed vines would erupt to lash at enemies. Some of these would grow on Lespernii as well.
Cooldown: 3 posts.
Thorn wall
Lespernii erects a large dirt wall, covered in thorny vines. Aside from dissuading enemies from coming in contact with it, it also serves to protect something.
Cooldown: 3 posts.
Paralytic Ivy
Lespernii summons a small ivy bush. As well as causing severe irritation and itch for 2 posts, touching the ivy with a limb can cause paralysis of it for 1 post. Those affected by this ivy are immune for 2 posts.
Cooldown: 2 posts.
Volatile bulbflower
Lespernii summons a small flower that can be well concealed in a tall grassfield. When stepped on or felt significant vibrations of a claw being so near it, the bulbflower explodes like a landmine and releases poisonous gas. Breathing in the gas would cause suffocating/breathless bouts for 2 posts.
Cooldown: 2 posts.
Aromatic flower
Lespernii summons a flower that gives off a sweet and healing scent, curing debilitating ailments like poison or curse, and rejuvenating those taking in the scent for up to 2 posts, before the flower wilts.
Cooldown: 4 posts.
Trace element sap
Lespernii roots herself into the ground (if not rooted) and begins to sap trace elements and minerals from the ground, slowly healing her minor wounds, as well as staunching any bleeds.
Cooldown: 3 posts.
Rose thorn eruption
Root required. Within a 200ft radius around her, pillars of thorny branches erupt and spear into the air, up to Lespernii’s shoulder level. Costs a significant portion of Lespernii’s energy.
Cooldown: 3 posts.
Toxic Pollen Eruption
Root required. Large flowers grow around Lespernii and immediately starts releasing toxic clouds of pollen in a 400ft radius around her for 1 post. Breathing in the pollen would cause it to burn the lungs with inflammation, as well as inducing an allergic response of constricting the breathing tube slightly. The longer the victim stays and breathes in the pollen, the worse the damage. Lespernii is immune to this cloud.
Cooldown: 5 posts.
Queen’s chariot
Lespernii summons a giant lotus under her that immediately closes and buds over her before pulling her underground. She can then reappear anywhere within 2000ft of where she disappeared, and erupt out of the ground with an earthquake. The earthquake spans at 1,000ft radius around where she would appear.
Cooldown: 5 posts.
Apotheosis
Lespernii briefly focuses and channels strength from the Mother Tree, before exploding and sending a shockwave to push enemies back 500ft from her. Her inner body and eyes then glow a bright blue, like she is possessed. All fatal wounds are healed to their minor variations, cooldowns of all her abilities are reset and their magic energy costs are free for 3 posts. Can only be used once per fight.

Re: Lespernii, the Seedkeeper
2/2 Approved. An interesting character no doubt!
I trust that her powers wont be too overwhelming with the prerequisite of her rooting.
