Personality: Zoltann is deadly serious, rarely seen smiling. Generally inexpressive, he is rather hard to read, the only emotions one can evoke from him anger or irritation. His lack of 'character' makes it difficult for him to connect or sympathize with others. He's highly independent of others and finds it a challenge to work in groups. Highly vigilant and decisive, Zoltann finds it hard to deal with dragons of lesser knowledge or intelligence, which is the reason he has a hatred for hatchlings.

Zoltann is pessimistic, preferring painful truth then the beautiful lie. He has come to terms with the fact he will never have a proper relationship with his parents, that they will never understand how he ticks and why. He chooses to belittle those who are positive and energetic, seeing them as blind fools turning away from reality, which is that the world is cold and dark, and only the strongest survive.

Zoltann is quick to anger, but will express is in a passive-aggressive, almost 'calm' way. You will know he is starting to get annoyed when he begins to make remarks about one's 'attitude,' and insulting them with cleverly spun comebacks. Though wellspoken, he isn't afraid to be blunt with others, and this can make him come off as rude. If offending you enough to make you walk away doesn't work, Zoltann won't hesitate to rake his teeth down your backside.

Zoltann, when one gets to know him, is a lot more empathetic with you, though he stands by his logic of 'the strongest rule the weak.' He has little to no sympathy for the poor and unfortunate. He sees rogues as primitive creatures, and won't hesitate to chase them from the borders. He will stand by your side and protect you until the very end, his loyalty will not be swayed, be it by gold or by a pretty female.

Hobbies: Zoltann likes to spend his time racing through underwater caverns and chasing schools of fish. He also enjoys adventuring through dark caves and dangerous ravines, finding them exciting rather then frightening.
Likes: Zoltann enjoys the peace and quiet of the ocean, finding land distasteful. He absolutely adores whales, though he will never express it in an 'oh my gosh aren't they so pretty!' way. He likes drawing them on cave walls. He also enjoys getting his way or winning an argument, taking great pleasure in seeing the embarrassed faces of his 'opponent.'
Dislikes: Zoltann has a dislike for loud noise, and finds land to be bitterly boring. He has a personal hatred for long monologues, and listening to dragons' 'sob stories.' He is disgusted by mud.
Fears: Zoltann is actually, believe it or not, afraid of beautiful or sly females. He finds them to be like sirens, drawing you in and then ripping your throat out when you're not looking.
He also has a fear of on-land insects, believing them to be disgusting and inferior to the majesty of the ocean's creatures. He's also afraid of fire.

History:

From the time he was young, Zoltann's parents knew he was to be different. his brother Rorath sought a career in medicine and healing, whereas he went after a life of militarism. They remained close, but saw the world very differently from each other.

Tragedy struck when Rorath and Zoltann were racing through the caverns. A band of rogues, seeking food, thought they were soldiers and attacked. Rorath was killed in the ensuing fight, and Zoltann was blinded in his left eye. Left humiliated and scarred, Zoltann grew distant from his parents, who discouraged him from seeing them as they believed it was his fault for sneaking out to the borders.

Zoltann's life now revolves around the military.

Scale/Fur/Feathers:Zoltann's scales are a dark, dark blue, and gleam like polished metal. They are smooth and feel like snake-skin, only harder.
Eyes: A milky, bluish white in one eye, a piercing crimson in the other

Horns/Spikes: Zoltann sports a pair of horns that curve upwards. He also has a set of spikes running down his back, tipped with sharp points, and all connected by a sail. He has the same type of fin running down the back of his elbows, and on his cheeks.

Zorann has wings that extend from just behind his shoulders. He has a muscular body and a long, whip-like tail.


Abilities: Zorann can use basic magic, but his true strengths lie in his ability to fight.
Strengths:

Zorann is quick witted and sharp tongued. He's make a good politician.

He's a skilled fighter and it shows in his body, able to adapt quickly to any situation in battle.

Zorann is very strong and can easily push other dragons, able to use his strength to win a  battle.

He's a fast swimmer, able to swim at 70MPH.

Weaknesses: Above water, Zoltann is slower and has less stamina, since he is not accustomed to land life.

Zoltann has a particular weakness to fire. He can't stand flames that reach over one hundred degrees, he will be burned black and blue.

He's not very fast above water, only able to fly at 40MPH.

He's blind in his left eye, meaning he can't see anyone approaching from his left side.


Fighting Style: Zoltann, when fighting above water, will try to drag his opponent into the ocean, where he can drown them.

Beneath water, Zoltann will try to use his environment to either outsmart or trick his opponent, by either getting them lost in the maze of caverns or smashing their head into a rock.
Magic:

Breath Attack: Rather then breathe fire, Zoltann can shoot a jet of steaming hot water that can scald skin and taint scales. It reaches up to 97 degrees, just below boiling point. While it isn't lethal, it is very painful to the touch.

Water Manipulation: Zoltann can send water in any direction, at any speed ranging from 1 to 40mph. He can morph it into shapes like blocks and spheres, but he can also make them into arrow-like shapes and shoot them at his opponents. Again, non-lethal, but painful. They won't pierce scales or skin, but will splash painfully.
