Crystals by the Sea(Open to All) Empty Crystals by the Sea(Open to All)

Post by Trinyah Mon Jan 15, 2018 4:18 am

The sea was so gorgeous. The way it rose and fall. It seemed to breath, like a wild beast just waiting to be tamed. But who could tame such a beast? A sea dragon, perhaps? Well, they didn't tame it. They merely respected it, swam with it. No one could control the ocean and the sea dragons probably knew that better than anyone. And while Trinyah certainly wasn't one to try to control the majestic beast that was the ocean, she was simply content to sit back and watch.

Trinyah was a traveler. She had no one place to call her home. She simply wandered around, and would rest wherever was most comfortable. As much as she loved socialization, she didn't like being in situations where she was forced to conform to one group of people. Afterall, how else was she suppose to spread her good cheer to every dragon? And what if she messed something up with her new tribe? The tribes all seemed to be dependent on each other. If one dragon screwed something up, who's to say it couldn't screw up the tribe?

And so, that was why Trinyah lay by the ocean, her paws resting over the cliffside that dropped down to the crashing waves. It was so beautiful. And with winter rolling in, she was quite happy that the weather was cooling down. While most dragons would loathe the winter, especially with how bad winters could get on Layrian, Trinyah was actually excited. The cold rejuvenated her.

Trinyah yawned, laying her head on her paws, and closing her eyes. It was so quiet. So peaceful. She wondered how long that would last.

Crystals by the Sea(Open to All) Empty Re: Crystals by the Sea(Open to All)

With a beat of his wings, Orco leaped out of the water.

The droplets cleared away from his eyes to reveal the heavens above. He often wondered what it was like to fly so high. The sky was much like the ocean in many ways. Empty, endless, beautiful. A seagull soared on a current of air, screeching as if calling for something. For a moment, he could hear the sounds of the je sea, the wind, feel it blowing in his face.

Then, he fell back into the water with a splash, and all became still. Quiet.

The empty blue surrounded him, terrifying to most, calming to him. Orco's gills vibrated as his body switched instantaneously to process watered oxygen rather than pure air. Breathing in the salty substance, he paddled leisurely just under the surface, aiming for the coast in the distance. The Lakara had sent him out exploring again. His favorite activity! Yes, he actually LIKED working.

As he approached the beach, Orco grew more impatient. With a push of his wings he sped up, accelerating at fantastic speed. A school of silver fish darted out of his way, though a couple snagged on his horns and were sliced in half. The emptiness turned into pale lines of motion. His gills heaved. Flexing his tail, the young sea dragon leaped into the air like a dolphin would, spinning once before falling back in.

Orco laughed like a delighted child, riding the currents and waves with ease. He closed his eyes, letting the water slice his face. As the details of the island walls came into view, he leaped out of the sea again and hovered, scanning his surroundings. Thus far, he couldn't see anything, or anyone, interesting. Flapping towards the shore, he touched down in the shallows, where frothy white waves encircled his limbs, grabbing at him with pale hands. He could feel the ocean trying to drag him back in each time the tide receded, and he felt a twinge of sadness when his talons touched down on dry sand.

Turning, Orco gazed out to sea. Closing his eyes, he tilted his head back and breathed in the salty air. Opening them, he looked around. Nearby were some cliffs. Might be a good idea to see if the waves are rough there, he decided. Spreading his wings, he took off towards them, wingtips brushing the water with each slow beat. The cliffs were sharp and steep, but there were no large chunks of rock that he could see sticking out from below.

Safe area then, he decided, rising towards the top of thr cliffs. He didn't realise another dragon was behind him.

Crystals by the Sea(Open to All) Empty Re: Crystals by the Sea(Open to All)

Post by Trinyah Wed Jan 17, 2018 8:13 pm

It happened so fast, Trinyah barely had time to even register what was approaching. At first, she spotted something from the corner of her eye, like a speeding object. Curious, she had glanced down toward the water, flicking her tail as she scanned the sea. She caught another flash, and soon spotted what appeared to be none other than a small dragon, it's body snaking and swimming through the ocean, seeming to fly across the waves.

Then, he would leap out of the water with such grace, it would leave Trinyah breathless. Which was primarily why she stayed so silent as he got closer and closer to the cliff side, and also why she didn't try to move out of the way to avoid potential danger. She was entranced by his rhythmic patterns and majesty.

The dragon himself didn't stand out much. Rather, quite the opposite, as he blended into the ocean quite well. But it was just the way he moved. So effortlessly. Without a care in the world. As such was the reason behind why time seemed to pass so quickly. Before Trinyah knew it, the dragon had suddenly flown up above the cliffs, and was now directly in front of her, with his back turned towards her.

Trinyah blinked a moment, then awkwardly cleared her throat, "Um...hi. I really liked your swimming," she said in universal, her surprise quickly giving way to cheerfulness.
