Braving the Night (OPEN)

OOC: (Lets date this to long before the NPC Tooku became an official messenger. So before any political talks between the Valeterrene and the Xoya) Tooku's basic description for anyone who wants to play him *Tooku, a pure lesser eastern dragon (snake dragon) with purple eyes and purple scales+fur. Personality is excitable and neutral good in nature* again if anyone wants to power play him as an NPC you can just stick to the story I suppose. At this point Tooku is an Ikutrun (scout/hunter) but also in training to be a Raihin (diplomatic scholar) in order to be a specialized inter-tribal messenger of sorts.

IC playing as Prasi:

The Rossa was out hunting with some of her tribe mates enjoying the chill night air. The group had split into pairs each hunting in different areas outside of Valeterrene's borders. They kept well away from the Xoya borders, but everywhere else unclaimed was open territory for the tribe to stalk prey within. Most of the Vale members who were hunting tonight were more experienced members, and the rossa herself who had gained her mothers talent for silent hunting. Being one of the best hunters, Prasi was paired with one of the least experienced to give the young male tips when he needed it. So far the purple hued male had been doing well on his own; bringing down a few deer and a bear silently. Prasi was pleased with his progress, and had no qualms with placing him into the rank of Ikutrun after his teacher had given her good news about his training. Now she finally got to see what he was made of in person in a real hunting situation. Unlike the male, Tooku, Prasi was a little less silent. While she was snake-like in appearance she had longer bulkier legs than the youth and was not nearly as flexible as he was. So she had to try harder in the area of stealth. Tooku on the other paw was silent as a snake slipping through the dew covered undergrowth barely if at all using his legs to slip around. His way of traversing the tangled forest reminded Prasi greatly of her mother, and she wondered if Rii had been related to this male somehow. They both had nearly the same bodies, though Rii garnered long wings unlike Tooku.

"Tooku let's head down to the edge of the lake. We'll probably find some larger prey near the meadow at the lakes edge." The nearly invisible female chuffed to her subordinate in Arretiz. Her dark scales keeping her indistinguishable from the darkness of the night covered forest. Only her white eyes and the white tips of her antlers were visible as she slowly stalked forward past the smaller male dragon. She paused only for a second to hear any answer from the purple eyed male then continued onward leading the way towards the lake. Only a whisker of the rossa twitched in response to an owl hooting somewhere above them. She didn't hunt anything smaller than her claws. No, her senses were trained on large heavy prey items such as forest elephants, rhinos, or large reptilians. Though both dragons were also keeping an eye out for other dragons from their own hunting party as well as rogues or xoya tribe members.

Tooku's purple coloring was equally useful in keeping hidden at night. Only those with superior senses would be able to see the pair of hunters slipping around the dense tree trunks. Dragons with a great sense of smell or even taste might be able to sense the pair of dragons, and those with keen night eyesight or heat sensing abilities could see each dragon while they walked along.
