Personality and the Basics

Name: Emri
Pronunciation: Em-ree
Gender: Female
Type: Semi-Aquatic Terrestrial Western Dragon
Species: Spiraas
Age: Claimed age of 125 (Probably an adult..? Probably. Maybe.)
Date of Birth: April 1st
Personality: Emri acts like a hatchling. She bounces around, chases butterflies, and will gladly wrestle with anyone for the last cookie. She especially enjoys swinging from tree branches and the like to ambush unsuspecting bystanders by ferociously "attacking" any and all available appendages. However, she does sometimes act her age, and will have serious conversation when a friend is in need. Emri also will act fairly mature when visiting marketplaces and neighboring towns/villages to trade, or to. But anytime else, you can count on her crazy sense of humor and even crazier personality.
Hobbies: Emri can usually be found flinging herself from tree to tree, play stalking an unknowing victim, collecting shinies, chasing birds, fish, squirrels and butterflies, snoozing an a patch of sunlight, or listening intently to someone telling a story.
Likes: Emri is a HUGE fan of anything sweet, colorful things, contests, adventure, shiny things, and literally almost anything exciting!
Dislikes: Emri loves new exciting things, so it makes sense that she can't stand boring things. If a conversation turns boring, she'll literally just bounce away and find something else to amuse herself with. Another thing Emri really hates is cold windy days and being cold. During cold weather she finds a nice warm place to curl up and wait out the cold snap. The only thing she does like about cold is snow. She adores snow, especially when it's taller than her and she can tunnel underneath it! The final thing Emri really dislikes is being looked down upon. Just because she usually acts like a hatchling doesn't mean she can't make her own decisions. She's perfectly happy playing the part of the adorable sidekick, but as soon as someone tries to tell her what she should and shouldn't do; she instantly dislikes them. The offender will probably never know that they offended her, she's too nice, but they did hurt her feelings and she will always remember that.
Fears: Emri acts like a fearless little kid, but she's got an irrational fear of murky water, bonus points if it's got slimy water plants as she fears being dragged underwater and drowning. She is also completely terrified of lightning/thunderstorms. They will often make her run for the nearest shelter, possibly under someone's wing.

Place of Origin: Emri was born and raised on the island of Muri Taka

Language: Universal, and how to say Hello, Goodbye, Yes and No in most other languages; except perhaps the more exotic ones.
Home: Emri now travels the world, trying to find all sorts of unique and interesting items to fill her collections with. Besides that, she can usually be found in some sort of jungle or forest; or just wandering Muri Taka.
Parents: Father: Noqei (Alive) Mother: Qirah (Alive)
Siblings: She has one sibling named Sindeth (Alive), a dark blue dragon with an melancholy attitude, and a rather gothic fashion sense.
Relatives: She has soooooo many aunts, uncles and cousins. She doesn't know all of them, but Aunt Otha and Uncle Invus visit sometimes and bring their numerous hatchlings; the names of which Emri cannot remember for the life of her
Mate: Nope
Offspring: Nope
Notable History: Spiraas are rather noodley western type dragons with an extra long tail and neck. Their prehensile tails are specially adapted to swing from tree branches and act as an extra paw when needed, so- naturally- they spend most of their time in forests and jungles. And that's how Emri was raised, swinging through the trees like a draconic little monkey, and living happily with her family. When Emri was little, her parents took her to see the ocean. She was playing on the beach one day, when a huge water serpent attempted to grapple her and drag her into the ocean. Thanks to the quick actions of her parents, she survived the attack, but it left her with a debilitating fear of drowning, and of murky water.


Physical Appearance and Accessories

Height: Emri has a strange magical condition that makes her size change. It takes a large amount of innate magical energy to change between her different forms, and she usually only has the energy for 3, maybe 4 shifts every day. Her usual Adult Form stands 15ft tall at the shoulder, and her Hatchling form is 4ft tall at the shoulder.
Length: Adult: around 30ft from nose to tail tip; Hatchling: 10ft from nose to tail tip.
Wingspan: Adult: 52ft wingspan; Hatchling: 18ft wingspan.
Scale/Fur/Feathers: Emri is overall a deep verdant, emerald green color with jagged darker green stripes from the tip of her extra long tail to her neck, and 2 marking the bridge of her snout. She is covered in flexible, but hardy snake-like scales with small spines running from her head to her tail. She overall looks rather lithe and graceful; belying her playful and mischievous personality.
Eyes: Emri's eyes are a deep green fading towards a yellowish green near the pupil. Her iris and pupil take up most of the visible part of her eyes, though when she looks to the far left or right, the white is visible.
Accessories: Emri wears a "bottomless" satchel containing all sorts of goodies; including but not limited to: a banana, 5 pineapples, a telescope, a large copper pot, torches, a magical tent, a guitar, strips of jerky, 2 seagulls, a frying pan, warm blankets, 7 candles, a knife, a sand crab, several sticks, and of course, her shinies collection. Although she has this amazing item, it's rather obvious that she doesn't quite know how it works. And, under no circumstances could she create one herself. Who knows, perhaps its original owner will return to claim it?
Armor: Although she has access to numerous sets of armor in the Bottomless Bag, or just,the Bag, as she calls it, Emri finds most armor too bulky and cumbersome to wear. Although, she did find one nice set of rather lightweight armor, she still will only wear it when she knows she's headed into a dangerous situation.
Horns/Spikes:  Emri has many webbed spines running from her neck to the middle of her long tail. The spines usually lay down limply, but when swimming or she feels threatened. the spines stand straight up (revealing the bright orange color of the webbing in between the spines); either to assist in propelling her through the water or to make her seem larger and more threatening. Emri has several sets of dark green horns, one larger pair on her temples, one much smaller pair jutting out from the edge of her jaw near her neck, and the others just kinda filling in the leftover space. She also has almost horse like ears that perk up when excited, or flatten when she's scared or angry.
Overall Appearance: Emri has 3 fingers and a thumb on both front feet. And on the back feet there are 3 forwards facing toes and 1 backward facing toe to better grip onto branches.

Abilities and Strengths

Abilities:

~Size Changing: As noted, Emri has a strange magical condition that makes her size change. It takes a large amount of innate magical energy to do so, and she usually only has the energy for 3, maybe 4 shifts every day. Shifting takes only a matter of seconds, (1 post) for  adult form, and 7-10 for hatchling. As if now she can only change her size, but perhaps eventually she can harness her magic to transform into different creatures, or just give herself gills or something like that. But she'd definitely need a teacher to do so.

~Fire Breath: Emri does have a breath weapon, but it's not nearly as strong as other's breath weapons might be. The intensity of her fire depends on her size at the moment, but even at her full adult size her fire isn't aaaaaall that powerful. In hatchling form, it's pretty much just like holding a lighter under someone. Will it hurt after a little bit? Sure, but it's not going to cause serious damage unless the other person just doesn't move and lets her keep blasting away at the same spot. In adult form, it's a bit more serious than a lighter, but still isn't crazy. Her fully powered breath weapon has about the intensity of a small bonfire. A single burst of it is going to hurt a bit, but serious damage isn't going to happen unless she gets them in a particularly sensitive spot like the eyes, or unless there's prolonged exposure to the same area over the course of 2 posts or longer. She can use a small burst (the lighter type) an infinite amount of times, and in either adult or hatchling form, but the full breath weapon can only be used 5 times per hour, and is only available to her in adult form.

Strengths:
~Dexterous Build: Emri is far more dexterous than your average dragon, almost twice as dexterous in fact. This enhanced dexterity allows her to more easily fly through forests and other tight spaces, weave through thick underbrush, or even to dodge some incoming attacks a bit better.

~ S p e e d : Emri is a very fast little dragon. While most dragons top running speeds are about 50mph, Emri can match the speeds of most drakes, topping out at about 60mph. And additionally, thanks to her enhanced dexterity, Emri is capable of making tight turns, ducking and weaving around obstacles, and can just generally maneuver better and faster at high speeds than the average dragon can.
Weaknesses:
~Distracted: Due to her playful, and therefore distracted, nature, Emri is extremely vulnerable to psychic attacks as she can't concentrate for long enough to form a mental barrier.

~Cleithrophobia: Emri is a bright soul, not much gets to her in the way of fear and panic. Not much, except for being restrained that is. When Emri was younger, she nearly drowned due to a large sea serpent grabbing her and dragging her underwater. Her parents managed to save her, driving off the serpent in the process, but Emri still vividly remembers the feeling of her bones being crushed, oxygen being squeezed from her lungs, and the light of the sun fading as she was dragged ever deeper into the oceanic depths. As such, Emri is terrified of being pinned down, or held against her will in any way shape or form. She goes absolutely berserk, losing all control over herself, and losing the ability to think of anything other than escaping.

~Immobilization: Her final weakness comes from magical immobilization effects like paralysis, stunning effects, and petrification; they hit her stronger and faster than any other type of attack. It is also accompanied by a strange sort of delirium which makes her extremely unfocused, easy to trick, and just generally out of touch with reality.

~Small Size: Emri isn't a big dragon. She's really quite small for her age- even in her adult form- to the point where she could easily be called the "runt of the litter". As such, she's easily overpowered by any larger and heavier dragon, and just as easily pinned down by them too, directly playing into her fear of being restrained. Emri can't physically fight back very well at all, but she'll try her best to wiggle out of their grasp as soon as possible.

Fighting Style: Emri doesn't like fighting, but if forced, she prefers to lead the enemy on a wild goose chase, using her different sizes to her advantage, and taunt them once they start to get tired to make the continue the chase. She then waits until they've completely exhausted themselves to attack. Her attacks consist of shifting into her adult form and attempting to jump on them, or just hovering a little ways away and beaning them with random items from her bag.

Magic: Emri has a large pool of innate magical stamina, which she primarily uses for size and elemental manipulation. She's learning healing magic, but she's still a novice. Currently, Emri can only heal minor wounds like little cuts and bruises, but even that takes 2 posts to do (or a minute or two, if we're time skipping).

~Simple Elemental Manipulation: Emri has slight powers over the elements, but she can only manipulate what's already there. The only exception to this rule being fire; she has a mild fire breath weapon which she uses to create flame, then manipulate it. Ex: she could make cool shapes appear in water and make them dance around a bit, but if she tried to weaponize it, it would just be a slightly more powerful than normal squirt gun. None of the other simple elemental manipulations are any more powerful. Her fire breath takes a few minutes to heat a piece of metal to the point of glowing, and her fire manipulation is just taking what heat is in the area and using it to her own advantage. Otherwise, manipulating her breath weapon is like holding a lighter under someone; it might hurt a little, but its no where near as destructive as, say lava. The others are generally just as harmless; unless there is something harmful already existing to manipulate. Ex. if in a volcano- for whatever reason- she could combine earth and fire manipulation and use the already existing lava. She has to concentrate to keep fire, water, and wind effects going (generally just for a couple of posts) but earth manipulations, unless they were defying gravity in some way, generally stay in place after she loses concentration.

~Envoy of Nature: Emri is a creature of nature, and as such, she can communicate with, and encourage the growth of plants in her general area. Emri can communicate telepathically with plants within 60ft of her. They don't tell her much, but they let her know the locations of any creatures, sources of water, specific types of plant, or sources of sickness/corruption within said 60ft radius. Additionally, within 30ft of herself, Emri can encourage the growth of plants at remarkable speeds. She can grow 20ft long vines to entangle people with (they're normal vines, just grown super fast) within a span of a single post, but can only do so 3 times per hour (the vines just have to be rooted within 30ft of her, they can reach out their full 20ft to grab someone 50ft away from her, but are significantly weakened since they don't have much length left to grab on with; the vines are at full strength within that 30ft radius). Additionally, she can encourage or discourage the growth of plants within 10ft of herself. When encouraging growth, the plant will grow at the rate of a foot per post (or per minute if we're doing a time skip). When discouraging growth, the plants will shrivel up and start dying off at the rate of one foot per ever 2 posts (or per 2 minutes if we're doing a time skip). So, for example, it would take 30 minutes to grow a 3oft tall tree, but it would take an hour to fully kill a tree of the same height.

Couple notes:
Make sure to credit the artists of the artwork you are using to reference your character
You need to have more weaknesses, as the general rule is you need to have one more weakness than number of strengths.

Her pocket dimension needs to be heavily explained, as I don't think it really fits with the site and probably won't be approved, but will ask Savan and Solar for their opinions on it as well.

You need to describe more of your elemental manipulation, like size of manipulation, duration, ect. Is it also impossible to use this manipulation for attacks? Just want to clarify this.

On form changing, how many times can she do it in a day? How fast does it take to change forms?

All is good, just add one weakness more as you have psychic/mental attacks and water as two weaknesses, and have two strengths/ Doesn't have to be a major weakness.
