The vally of false trees (open)

Deciduous stomped through the forest that was his home, situated in a vally it was quite hidden, even from overhead. Not that anyone would even notice there was mountains there to begin with, with how large the trees were one would they just got bigger the farther up the slope they went to form peaks. Deciduous was not very busy that day, he never was, really. He didn't have any job to attend to, nor anyone to speak to, not that he would-he wasn't very well versed in language. It was a hot summers day and he fancied himself a nap in his forest home, he found the clearing he usually slept in, the spot was smeared and splattered with upturned dirt and boulders from countless years of him sleeping there, to anyone else it would seem uncomfortable but to him it was like sleeping on clouds-a clear sign of home. As he layed down from above it would just look as if the forest was filling in a void with its missing trees, the mock trees on his back pointed towards the sky like any other trees around him, his massive green body perfectly hidden from the world above.

Lazily laying in the gargantuan trees, he was in tune with nature to a high degree even in his current restful state. Every flap of a robins wings or hush of nearby waterful he could hear as he dozed off.

Tharasis flew high above the skies. And while it was quiet an uncommon sight to see him flying out from his home. Especially more so now that he was also flying without the protection of his royal guard. And while the drake knew of the possible threats, he often felt constricted having eyes always watching over him. It simply made it impossible to try and relax and enjoy some quiet.

So, after telling his mate, and some of the staff of the army and royal guard. He was, very reluctantly... allowed to go without a guard. Though they did not allow him to leave without atleast carrying an amulet of protection. When worn Tharasis is able to communicate with his tribe. And allows him to alert them should anything bad happen.

But he doubts it. Though of course, its better safe and sorry.

After taking off at dawn. He continued his flight around his tribe. Admiring the city first and how its architecture was a sight to behold. Made from the finest stone. And designed by the brightest of engineers and architects. Truly. If you happen to catch yourself flying high above the city at certain times of the day. It would look like something out of a book that talked about paradise.

He continued his flight, passing over and through mountains and hill, over forest and grasslands, farmlands and lakes. The temperature of the Vuari lands were always cool. Making the experience all the more relaxing to the drake.

Eventually. After hours of flight and sight seeing, Tharasis was tired. And his wings wanted to rest, if only for a short while. And as he looked around for a place to land. His eyes caught sight of a valley. And his eyes widened a little at how well hidden it was. Tharasis was lucky that he was flying so high above, otherwise the valley would have been hidden from his view.

He came down, gliding his way towards the ground. And after a few minutes, touched down softly with the earths soil. He looked around, seeing all the beauty this hidden piece of land had to offer. He continued to walk around, hoping to stumble upon a river or lake. And after a short while, he did.

He rested by the lakes edge, sitting on his hunches and he could only hear his breath, the winds, and the birds.
He took a drink from the lake. before looking up and saying.

" Ah, what a discovery I made today. " He said softly.
