Autillulo, The Devil of Sand

Species: Verula Sand Devil - A unique, uncommon species of dragon exclusively seen and found only on the Verula continent. Most of these dragons have the common appearance of a face resembling a skull, 'devil' wings, plated underbellies and generally earthy-tan colors (beige, sand, dull brown, grey, hazel, gold), hence the name 'Verula Sand Devils'.  Although skull-resemblances are common for this species, a generally large, bony structure is seen with this group. They have slit tongues, typically, and small, sharp eyes. Verula Sand Devils, unlike other Western Dragon, stay grounded more than airbourne, even underground. It is common to see a Sand Devil's underground cavern or burrow, often cool and tight. Because of their colors, they tend to blend in with their home environment.

On another note, their behavior tends to be very intense, territorial, and aggressive. Of course, this is just common and typical behavior, and the dragons as individuals are diverse and unique. Verula Sand Devils typically speak with a middle eastern tongue.

Personality: Autiullo is quite the greedy, bad-tempered, sulky dragon. Autiullo proves to be a self-reliant, impatient, independent brute who generally doesn't speak unless spoken to. In more cases than not, you find this skull-faced dragon shying away from others or (when socializing) demonstrating the skill that is social awkwardness. Despite his grumpy demeanor, Autiullo proves to be loyal and sympathetic. Generos, but not kind. Ferocious, but not aggressive. A lot off comparisons could be made but to sum it up, Autiullo is active, both physically and mentally. Often having quite consistent conversations with himself (mainly to vocalize his thoughts) and others, but more one sided than anything.

Autiullo can be deemed as exceptionally moody, and especially protective. Growing up as hatchling, he and his people lived separate from each other. He often burrowed by himself and was only visited by family for food. But despite the lack of companionship between kin, the bond was still very much tight and firm. He was especially protective over all of his possessions and cared ones, and had a menacing, intimidating demeanor to back him up on the "Bark and Bite" saying.

In another aspect, though quite the peculiar trait, Autiullo is somewhat absent minded. With certain things, anyway. Many describe him as a face-and-not-name brute, having the photographic memory of the genius but can't seem to keep other's names in that steel trap of his. That being said, this brute, despite his menacing appearance, can be told to be quite friendly. And though he uses his strength and power to intimidate what he calls enemies, in no way does he have a superiority complex, or vice versa. As mentioned, however, Autiullo is a strong believer in honor and bravery. As long as a beast attains that through all trials, they shall not fail in heart and spirit. However, his loyalty wavers to those and groups he sees no potential in. This can obviously dictate the people he associates with the groups he represents on their behalf in any situation. He is an independent brute at heart who trusts in his own abilities before relying on others.

Autiullo has a much more deceptive nature, however. He is merciless, brutal, strict, disciplined, and manipulative. He is power hungry, and will by any means, work his way of control from the inside of any system if he so desires. But he is not so thirsty for power too often. Being so socially awkward, mentally clumsy, and aggressive, it's not hard to shy away from others anyway.

Abilities:

• Sandstorm: A large mass of sand and dust gather into a humongous cloud, which then settles and creates a harmful sandstorm. Although not life threatening, the sandstorm is known for its disorienting elements. The sandstorm blurries the sight of even the keenest of eyes (Making it so that one cannot see two meters in front of them), repels the fastest of flyers (decreases maximum flight speed by 10%), and weakens the strongest of the strong (decreases physical effectiveness as long as they remain in the sandstorm). The storm only lasts for about 10 minutes (3 posts) and can be reused after another 15 minute cooldown (5 posts).
  

• Mud Bullets: Autiullo releases a barrage of hard mud bullet, five at a time, with the amount of 15 in stock before a cooldown (3 posts).
  

• Quicksand: With the diameter of twenty meters, the earth around Autiullo softens into a thick, dangerous mud that slows, immobilizes, and traps enemies who find themselves stuck in it. The quicksand lasts a total of 15 minutes (5 posts) with a 20 minute cooldown (6 posts).
  

• Camouflage: Autiullo's skin color, texture, and virtual consistency adjusts to his surroundings for up to 20 minutes. (6 posts).
  

Strengths:

• Physically, Autiullo does not hold a great deal of bulk. Generally, he is physically incapable of winning a battle of pure muscle without having the advantage, and generally relies on disorienting the enemy in order to deal damage over some time. His abilities that compliment disorientation help this idea greatly.
  

• Mentally, although clumsy, is strong and firm. Although when left alone with his thoughts, it can possibly get out of hand, but Autiullo has a great aptitude for staying focused on his priorities at all times, as enemies may find it difficult to mentally challenge him with things such as interrogation or other disorientation abilities.
  

• Autiullo, despite his lack in bulk, does have the some strength. Despite his lack in physical power, his powerful, bony structure allows him to deal a little few, but powerful blows from the claws, teeth, and horns. Because of his species, however, who excels on the ground field, can feel vibrations in the earth with the same horns, talons, and teeth. The same strength in the talons and eyes allows him to see underground, and dig quickly.
  

Weaknesses:

• With small eyes, Autiullo lacks reliable vision. He cannot accurately see aerial targets high or low in the air.
  

• Autiullo lacks the physical capability to overpower enemies were pure bulk, making him weak to larger opponents.
  

• If stuck in quicksand, any sort of dragon with water can soften the quicksand and free themselves if they release water equal to the amount of quicksand they are stuck in.
  

• Aerial projectiles are hard to detect with Autiullo's eyesight, making him more susceptible to aerial attacks.
  

Fighting Style: Autiullo relies on his abilities to disorientate the enemy into submission. That being said, his range of effectiveness is best found in  a short ranged distance and avoids aerial combat persistently.
