A new beginning (Vuari Event)

// So since Neru left, Fate got promoted to chief of the Vuari. So I thought I would make a topic where they did the ceremony for him. I'm going to start this topic later, so if making an event without permission or something is against the rules, stop me now before I begin writing it. Thanks!

Fate took a deep breath as he examined himself in the mirror. This was it. Today was the day when he would become chief of the Vuari. He hadn't slept all the night before out of excitement and worry. He had to do everything perfectly. He couldn't be that little Nebula Wyvern that carried a blanket around everywhere when he got too cold. He had to seem like a strong leader. No, he had to be a strong leader.

The reflection that Fate saw he didn't know what to think of. He didn't look noble or kingly. He was wearing a black hood that tied loosely around his neck. He pulled the hood down with one front talon. That looked better. His tail flicked nervously from side to side. He better get going.

Leaving his room and making his way up the tunnels to the surface, Fate's heart started to beat faster. This was a pivotal moment in his life. The early morning sun was just peaking over the horizon as he took off. He shivered. It was freezing this morning. Just my luck, he thought disappointingly.

Another reason why Fate was so nervous was his gender. The leader of the Vuari was usually a dragoness. How well would the tribe accept him? He sure hoped well. He made his way to the large stone boulder where he was to be proclaimed chief on Oblique, the tallest of the ectan mountains. He thought that there would be more rituals to this kind of thing, like how it was with picking a sage, but he was pleased that that was not the case. To his relief, nobody had come yet. He flew down and landed next to the boulder. As always, the mountain was snow capped.

Shivering as he landed into the freezing white substance, Fate wrapped the hood tightly around him. Maybe he could get some enchanted item somewhere that would keep him warm. But he shouldn't worry about that now. He had way too much to think about. After a few moments of being down in the snow, he jumped up on top of the giant boulder and swiped his tail to clear away most of the snow. It was still freezing, but at least he didn't have to stand in snow.

He tapped his claws anxiously on the rock as he waited for more of the tribe to arrive.

Hyruu walked through the snow, his grey fur blending rather well with the white powder on the ground. Well it could blend better, but going unnoticed wasn't really his goal right now. No, today he was attending the promotion of Fate to leader of the Vuari.
It wasn't surprising the nebula dragon obtained the role. After all he seemed to be a friend of Neru, the old leader. Hopefully he would make a good leader for the Tribe.
After a bit of walking, he arrived near the boulder on top of which the main events would occur. The grey dragon briefly wondered if there would be a ceremony like for the introduction of a new Sage. Oh well he would see. Hyruu spotted the soon to be leader, already on top of the boulder. He gave him a nod of acknowledgment, not knowing if he was allowed to talk right now or not. In any case he sat in the snow, his dense fur protecting him from the coldness.

// So only two people joined... *Hear sarcasm in voice* This ceremony is going to be huge! XD I guess I will just have dragons come in through my posts. You'll see what I mean, sorry I am bad at explaining.

Trying to stop his teeth from chattering, Fate restlessly swiped his tail back and forth the frost covered boulder. This was torture. It was ridiculously cold. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, he saw a figure heading his way. He recognized him quickly. it was Hyruu. He saw the fluffy dragon a lot within the tribe and had talked with him before. It made Fate feel a bit better to see a familiar face. Tentatively he gave Hyruu a small smile and waved his front wing.

He was about to walk over and greet Hyruu when he saw a second dragon coming. This one he didn't recognize her at first. She was a lindwurm with light grey feathers covering her body. He was puzzled as to why an outsider would join the ceremony, when he suddenly remembered her. She had used to be part of the tribe but then she left. He couldn't remember her name, he just remembered seeing her occasionally in the past. He did a slight nod to her and smiled. He was still extremely nervous, but he wouldn't let that get into the way of his friendliness.

Slowly, more of the tribe started to come. Before too long, he had quite a crowd around him. Fate decided that he would wait a few more minutes before starting just in case dragons were still coming.

Sagitarius had just gotten out of a cave as his paws sunk into the snow as he breathed in the fresh air. I dont want to be late to the ceremony a male dragon doesn't become a chief so often he thought beggining to run where the ceremony was ussualy held in his oddly coloured fur stood out in the snow but that didn't matter since he wasn't hunting he was just going to spectate the ceremony.

Seems like a lot of people came here. He thought looking at the crowd which had formed he stood in the snow as he waited for it to begin.

So, a male dragon gets the honor of being crowned ruler of the Vuari? How quaint... Thought the onari to himself, his mouth twisted into an expression of mixed emotions. Was he happy that their great previous chieftess had stepped down, and passed her rule down to a dragon whom Hue barely knew? Of course not. And a variety of dragons felt this way as well. They were mad, angry, sad even that their beloved leader, Neru, would simply abandon them like this. But the new leader had apparently been good friends with Neru, and he hadn't done anything stupid yet to provoke outrage, so nobody was leading a revolt of any kind.

Not yet, anyway.

The wyvern would fly towards the meeting place, agitated that they had to go somewhere so cold. Honestly, they weren't Kaamil. Why must they make the flight this far north just to watch some dumb coronation ceremony? Hue felt like his wings would snap off any second, and he could see his breath in little smoky clouds in front of him. He wore a scowl as he flew, just a prime example that not everyone attending this ceremony was happy about it.

He would spot a couple other dragons, a fluffy western dragon and a lindwurm, and decided he might as well swoop down and land. The place was already crowded, might as well land where there was a bit of space.

Swooping down, he landed with a thud, and a grunt, grudgingly walking on his wings - like most nordic wyverns did - over to the two Vuari draconiforms. Lucky, he thought, that one of them happened to have fur. Sure, he was equipped for the altitudes, but not the weather. Hue also noticed a strange, wolf life dragon who approached the ceremony. Their tribe had such a weird collection of dragons, didn't it...
