Snow-Capped Peaks (Open to Vuari) Empty Snow-Capped Peaks (Open to Vuari)

Post by Athena Sun Nov 24, 2019 5:27 am

Goodness, it was cold.

Inayah tucked her wings in as she trudged up the mountainside. Her talons had turned numb long ago. She slipped and threw her wings out, yelping as she dug her claws in. Panting, she craned her head back to peer up at the mountain. She still couldn't see the top.

The evening was clear and dark, but the wind sliced beneath her wings and threatened to blow her off the mountains that reached for the sky like giant claws. It was barren up here, a glistening world of silver, and Inayah was a dark blue speck, almost black - a spot of ash on the perfect white.

She pulled her wings in and kept climbing. She wanted a closer look at the rocks up here, and perhaps the stars if she was lucky - but she also had another goal. The Vuari.

She took a deep breath. Come on, you can do this, she thought, finding what self belief she had and digging into it with both claws. She jumped up and the wind caught her immediately, carrying her up the mountain. She laughed breathlessly, her stomach dropping at the speed.

She touched down on a cliff edge and turned, gazing out at the view. All around, pale peaks sprouted from the mist below, turning gold as the sun began to set.

Inayah's breath emerged in thick clouds as she sat down, her tail curling around herself.

Almost there, she thought.

Snow-Capped Peaks (Open to Vuari) Empty Re: Snow-Capped Peaks (Open to Vuari)

" HEY YOU THERE! " a dragon called from somewhere, and if Inayah were to look directly to her right, she would find a dragon standing on what appears to be... stairs.

" YOU THERE! YES YOU! " he called out once more, from where she could see him. He would be a large rock standing on a triangular angle. Only he was not standing on such, but rather a large set of stone stairs.

" COME HERE! ONLY FOOLS DARE TO CLIMB UP USING YOUR METHODS! " He ordered. And if she were to do such, she would find herself standing on... cold, hard, stone stairs. That if she looked around she would find many many other dragons walking up.

It looked as if this was some form of highway. There were even angled roads here that allowed for large carts to be towed up. And it seems at though the stairs stretched far from the side where she stood.

" You must not do that here. Take the normal method like everyone else please. " And he was off, continuing his own path up the mountain.

The path would still take a while, and Inayah would reach the end after around 20 minutes of endless walking up these grand stairs.

And when she got there, she would be greeted by the large city of the lower capital of the tribe. Its large walls and grand architecture are one for many to marvel and look, and heed those who dare try and attack by its many defences of large stationary weaponry.

Coming at the gates she pass by the many dragons that went in and out, as well as the city guard who stood overlooking the crowds that came and went.

And finally, once inside. She was greeted by the large streets and many houses and buildings, some looked old, some looked brand new. The streets here were paved in smoothed stone. And appears to split into 6 different main routes. And a large sign that read " LOWER CAPITAL CITY "

And if she happened to look up. She would find that this was not the end of the mountains height, and looking at the visible stairway up that disappears into the clouds there. She'd know this was not the end of her journey.
