A Dinner for All (Open)

Solarlight and Darksky ran around the Twilight Palace, quickly getting things ready. They'd sent invites throughout the various kingdoms. It was simple. They wanted to try and just meet people from all the regions at once, and food just happened to be an excellent way to encourage people to show up. The pair looked around, sliding to a halt to avoid smashing into a cheif.

"Sorry Twister."

"Perfectly fine, my Rulers." The chief continued as the twins sighed.

"Note to selves. Remember that one of us need to keep our eyes forward."

"Yeah. If we don't we just get turned around, tangled, and run into walls." The both chuckled a little before walking into the room that would serve as the banquet room. This would be interesting.

Noctis received an invite to dinner with some royals, he quickly made himself look presentable and started making his way to the Twilight Palace.

An invitation of an all tribe meeting was something the StormCallers would do. How well would this go? Oculus was not sure, but it was definitely something that he would attend to see. He remembered the last time he came to the Twilight Palace, it was with the old Xoyan leader, and there was some interesting reaction from some of the Stormcaller guards at his presence. It was more amusing than anything the last time, maybe it would be just as amusing this time. Landing at the steps of the palace, he strolled towards the entrance, keeping his head up shoulders straight, giving a sly smile to any guard that was watching. He would halt at the door, his tail slightly swishing left and right as he waited to see what would ensue.

Noctis arrives at the entrance as he waits in line to enter the palace.

Tharasis was happy to accept such an invite. To go back to their stormcaller friends and partake in a grand dinner, alongside with anyother high nobles and or tribe leaders. A nice way of getting to know eachother without the politics. And maybe it can serve to become a sort of introduction of first impressions.

Tharasis along with his family eventually arrived with their small escort. The guards leaving them to go and either explore the stormcallers city, or to go and talk with other guards.

Tharasis meanwhile would be speaking with his children.

" Now, I want you two to be on your best behaviour alright? you two can go and do as you please, but please. Come back here before the feast starts, and don't get into trouble. " Tharasis said softly, but there was a hint of firmness in his voice. As expected as someone like Tharasis who wanted everything to go just fine and alright.

When Jinjuri heard that the Stormcallers were going to hold a banquet for all to come, she had become overly excited! Rulers who would lay down their food for any and all around were surely good in the eyes of their people, no doubt. So all morning she had prepared herself, washing and shining her scales and generally making herself look presentable in front of their hosts.

Jin had flown in with her family, letting her father do the talking for the time being, up until he had begun laying down rules for her and the others.

"Oh come on, Dad, you know I wouldn't make myself look bad in front of others, let alone royals from a different kingdom! Now Cassius on the other hand, he's who you should worry about.", She casually joked about her brother with a small giggle.

The guards let Noctis enter the palace, he's a little early. He decides to explore the palace for a while.

Solar and Sky would pant a little as they walked over to the door. They tried to shake off the exhaustion from getting ready before opening the doors, seeing who was there. They looked at all the dragons there, both smiling before Solar spoke up.

"Well everyone, welcome to the Twilight Palace, the home of the Stormcallers. The food's almost ready, but until then come in, meet and greet, talk. What ever you want to do as long as you arn't stealing anything, though I doubt anyone would."

Noctis bows respectfully. "How are you doing today your majesty?"

{OOC: I- I'd like to apologize- I just sat down to write and when I looked back there was a full on wall of text- Please don't feel at all like you need to match me! I just- Ramble. A lot aparently.}


Cassius was, in a word, overprepared. He'd spent a full 2 hours on his appearance alone, making sure every scale and feather was in just the right spot, polishing his bangles, and other adornments until they positively gleamed under the light. By the end of the affair, Cassius looked incredibly regal, more so than he normally did; somehow. But, at least by his standards, he looked utterly dashing. This evening, he had decided to play up his blue-gold eyes with minimalistic gold accents, rather than slipping into his usual blue-silver theme. He did, however, have a long, yet sleeveless, blue evening coat on; and, if one looked closely, you might even see faint peacock patterns shimmer into view every once in a while. After all, though he was was trying to appear approachable, he was also a powerful mage; and a mage who couldn't resist adding a little extra pizazz~ to his outfit at that.

Cass was looking forward to this dinner!! He'd never really traveled much out of the Vuarian territory, so this was just the opportunity he'd been looking for! All the different cultures, all the different viewpoints, the accents- He was getting chills just thinking about it; there would be so much to write about once it was over!! Of course, he was very prepared for the evening: every item on his person had it's own story attached to it in case he needed ice breakers, there were a couple books in case either he or Jin wanted to take a break from the action, and he had (discreetly) stuffed a couple rolls into his bag in case he didn't like the food; not that he expected that at all, he was sure that the Stormcallers were excellent cooks- but he still wanted to be prepared!

Cassius had mostly retreated into his own thoughts as they arrived, checking, double-checking, and triple-checking that he had everything he might need, but he snapped out of it upon hearing Jinjuri's teasing. To which he  rolled his eyes, "Oh, I don't know about thaaaaat, I think little Miss Heir-to-the-Throne should be more worried about making good first impressions than about little old me." He winked, discreetly flashing on of his hidden books towards Jin with a "If you need a break-" look, before quickly tucking it away again as the doors opened and he saw the Stormcaller rulers step out to address everyone who had gathered. "Ooooooooo~" Cass whispered to Jin as he followed everyone forward, a sparkle in his eye, "Where to first m'lady?"


To say that Asherna was surprised to receive such an invitation from the Stormcallers would be.. Quite the understatement. In the days after it's delivery, she had it checked, and double-checked for any sort of forgery, or other sort of meddling, but... It was legitimate. As surprising as it was, Asherna Ky'aelri was not one to turn down an invitation. Not only would it have been incredibly rude, but perhaps this was just the opportunity to make a good first impression! Of course, she knew of the Stormcaller rulers, and had exchanged communications as part of their alliance- But exchanging information was a far cry from meeting in person. She needed to make a good impression tonight.

All these thoughts cycled through Asha's mind as she landed in the designated area. She had made certain to bring only the people she knew she could trust to keep a level head, should there be any.. Unfavorable, reactions to the presence of the Ki'sha. She wasn't a fool, she knew the reputation that the Ki'sha had outside of their tribe, but hopefully any existing bad blood could stay suppressed for the evening. Her people had explicit orders not to engage, should anything happen- But still... "A plan never survives first contact with the enemy," Asha thought wryly, suppressing a smile as she approached the palace doors, "Except, in this case, it's a dinner party."

Tonight, Asherna had foregone her usual armaments; both as a gesture of trust, and to hopefully seem less immediately threatening to the other dinner guests. That wasn't to say that she didn't cut an impressive figure, however. The Kuz'a wore a simple, loose robe of pure white cloth (again, no sleeves), with an embroidered blood red sash which was held at her shoulder by an ornate bronze brooch. The whole ensemble was light enough to not get in her way, but yet formal enough so that it wouldn't seem like she was dressing down for the occasion. Of course, her ever-present bronze armband remained looped around her upper arm, but other than that? She was barely recognizable as her usual "no nonsense" self. In fact, if someone looked very closely indeed, they could almost say it looked like she was looking forward to this party!

Asherna had arrived only with a minimal guard force, and a small number of well meaning Ki'shan officials, civilians, and really anyone who'd wanted to attend; the guards would drift off to do whatever off-duty guards do in an unfamiliar city once the Kuz'a was officially within the palace, and her people would begin to do their best to mingle with the other guests and make small talk. But, the entire Ki'shan group held back to let everyone else enter first, as to hopefully allow the environment to develop before adding a... Well, potentially troublesome component to the evening's event roster. Asherna, for her part, was the one at the head of the Ki'shan procession, and therefore the first of the group to enter the room. In a sense, taking the social front-line for her "troops" in this matter. Once she was in the public eye, all evidence of her doubts about the evening had vanished from her face. She was every inch the strong, charismatic leader known as Asherna Ky'aelri. After entering, she would scan through the crowd until she saw, who she assumed had to be, Solarlight and Darksky, the twin rulers of the Stormcallers. She cut elegantly across the room, until she was close enough to speak with the twins, although, she did see that there was already someone speaking to them. No matter, just a chance to introduce herself properly, for the first time of many that night, she was sure.

"Ah. Your Majesties, I presume?" Asha's voice was heavily accented, but had a pleasant, almost melodic, lilt to her voice which made almost everything she said sound like a question. She gave a slight nod of her head to both of them, and a very slight incline of her head to Noctis. "Kuz'a Asherna Ky'aelri of the Ki'sha. It's a pleasure to finally meet you both in person after so long. Thank you for taking the time to invite us, it's been a very long time since I've been to a party of this scale, I'm afraid."

Tharasis could only give his two little ones a soft smile, before a nod showing that he trusted them to do good here. And not to cause any trouble. As he watched them walk away, he turned around and could not help but feel his heart feel a little lighter than usual. Maybe its because he was slowly, ever so slightly coming to terms knowing that one day he would have to watch those two little ones doing everything by themselves. A part felt warmth inside for that thought.

He took a deep breath to take his mind off of those thoughts, as his eyes quickly caught the sight of the twins. But as he began to walk towards them to, of course give them his appreciation and thanks for hosting such an event, and to have invited him and his family.

But a particular figure caught his eyes as he was nearing the two rulers. And Tharasis stopped as he narrowed his eyes, only then did he really see who that dragon was. And it was of course Asherna. The leader of the ki'shan . He thought to himself.

" I guess she really is looking to expand relations. " Tharasis said to himself. Knowing this was his first time ever seeing a ki'shan in a large gathering like this. Much less seeing the leader of their tribe being here.

He would wait for a moment, before walking to them.

"Solarlight, Darksky. I must say my great thanks for inviting us to this grand event of yours. You Stormcallers really have a way of bringing everyone together. " He said to them. Before his eyes turned towards the Kuz'a.

" And greetings to you too Asherna. " The drake bowed his head lightly as a sign of respect. Though they have already met before, Tharasis could still sense that feeling of the recent past. But tried his best to show it.

Jin looked on in awe at the palace itself as Cassius came along and spoke to her, her eye catching the little book that he had, which she had definitely foreseen she would absolutely need if this party turned into something bigger than she liked. She planned to stick with her brother most of the time, because she liked him the most out of her siblings because he understood her much more than anyone.

She chuckled and nudged Cassius. "Well, the first thing anyone has to do at a foreign party is try the food! I've always wanted to taste Stormcaller cuisine for like, the longest time! And then I wanna see their library and all of their cool plants that I won't be able to see in the Vuari!", She squeaked quietly, hoping not to draw attention from anyone to them, but her body couldn't help but jitter around excitedly, her paws tippity tapping and glowy scales pulsing rapidly.

Noctis notices the rapidly pulsing scales on Jin. "I suppose those always do that when you get excited."

The twins looked at the first to call to them, the Kuz'a of the Ki'sha. Asherna Ky'aelri. Solar chuckled a little at the presumed comment, nodding.

"We are a bit hard to miss. I'm sure any rumors are more how close we are than anything." Sky rolled her eyes a little, chuckling as she focused before speaking up.

"It's good to finally meet you Kuz'a Asherna. We can understand not knowing much about parties too. Or at least I never enjoyed them. Hope you enjoy it though." The pair then heard Tharasis, turning and nodding to him.

"Hey Tharasis. Glad your liking it already,"

"And yeah. I guess it comes naturally to us."

He watched as all the dragons waited on the twin rulers to come and greet them. There were several types of dragons from several tribes about Oculus noted. He wouldn't say much as they slowly filed inside, sort of moving with the group and almost finding it amusing that none seemed to recognize him as of yet. The last time he visited here, he remembered there was quite an amusing interaction with one of the guards who pegged him out to be a Skygger and almost attempted to attack him. With the twins distracted talking to some of the dragons walking in, Oculus waltzed inside, glancing around the interior of the palace. Noting the arrival of the Kisha, he gave a half chuckle. This could be quite amusing, a tribe of war coming to a party hosted by a tribe of peace. He would definitely have to keep an eye on them to watch how events would unfold. Perhaps it would be entertaining to be at this party after all.
