Only Human (Open)

Solar groaned as he slowly woke up. Something didn't feel right, but it was morning. Probably just some grogginess. He yawned, rubbing his face with his forepa.... What the! Solarlight's eyes shot open as he saw a pale, five fingered hand, and realized he didn't feel a snout. This... this wasn't him! He then looked right to see another head, one with long black hair, propped on his should. He yelled, trying to move away before the other head seemed to wake up, and yell right back. The two tried to pull away only to fall onto a metal floor. The pair huffed a bit then looked down. Realizing something.

"Solar?"

"Sky?" The pair looked down again, there clothing and body, a human body, seeming to be split down the middle. "Ok. This is freaky."

Tharasis stirred awake, covering his eyes as the shining blue luminescent light above him was a little too bright for his liking, and as his vision adjusted and the world became less. blurry, the sight of his arm. And hand had his eyes widening in realization.

And as he got up he would bump his head on one of the walls of this small bed. Particularly the wall above him, and he looked around his small room. And moving his hand to feel the bump on his head he felt... something soft?

And pulling on what seemed like strands of tiny strings, he could see. Hair?

Focusing on his hands once more they seemed very, odd... Gone were his scales and talons, replaced by soft skin and nails. And only now had it dawned on him that he was wearing something, soft and yet. It hugged his body firmly, a... uniform from what his mind could only describe it as.

And not only that, but his entire body has changed. Nothing like a dragon, he was soft, yet still felt strong and durable enough to take on a few strikes. No tail, or wings.

Looking to the right he could see the... Emptiness of black? with tiny specks of bright lights, some flickering, some static. They looked like stars.

Over to the left side was the majority of the room, and his eyes would trail about looking at the 2 tables, the one chair, a few cabinets, and what seems like a desk of some sort?

Moving himself out of the bed and promptly feeling his legs touch the floor had him gasping slightly. The floor felt cold, not too cold, but cold enough that he had to instinctively pull away. But looking down he would raise a brow at how odd his legs looked like.

This doesn't look like it was made for walking on all fours. And as he tried to get up, using only his legs. He actually did. With great easiness and the sensation of the cold metal floor on his feet made him feel quite. odd.

The first few steps were slow and steady. As he feared he could trip over himself at any time. But as he walk around in circles for some time, he felt like he was getting use to walking. And in no time at all, he even started to slightly jump about. Once he felt like he had a good grip on walking it was now time to investigate what in the world happened to him, where he was, and so on.

The first thing he did was walk towards the odd looking desk, and once there he could see a solid glass like square plate on the desk. And as he moved his hand to touch it it would suddenly light up. Making him flinch backwards at the sight of the bright light.

The display was quite the yes. odd sight to him again. As it looked like some form of shapes combined together to form a complex shape. And in a second he felt the faint memory that this was called a... Ship?

It looked hollow, with each shape being connected together by what seemed like doors, some were double, others single. And as he waved his hand the display began to label the shapes with names.

Tharasis wondered. If he was alone in this ship.

It took a little while for Tinuviel to wake.
She felt strange, as if... she'd been changed in some way. She pushed herself up into a sitting position, her webbed ears feeling a lot smaller than usual. Tinuviel could still feel her webbed spines however, but not her tail.

What had happened? The floor felt cold, like the metals she often worked with. She groggily opened her eyes, wondering if they were still red.
Tinuviel looked over to the other side of the room, spotting another figure, two-headed. She immediately backed into the corner, the strangeness of everything keeping her mind off of her...different proportions.

Tinuviel noticed now that she didn't have scales, or claws. Though her paws..well hands, still had slightly pointed nails. She noticed a severe lack of wings, and her legs felt so different and a lot weaker. Her skin was pale, almost a light gray, and she could still see her strange markings on her legs.

Weird...what was she wearing? It didn't feel like the clothes she normally wore. Tighter, more...uniform. After noticing this, Tinuviel felt a throbbing headache come on, and placed a hand upon her forehead with a wince. What was on her head? Her webbed head fan seemed to be nonexistent, and she had some sort of snow white fur or hair in its place. Panicking slightly, she felt for her back spine, and could still feel the webbed spine there, yet a lot smaller.

Tinuviel didn't know what to think, so she just waited for the other figure to do..something.

Krin woke with a start, gasping in air like as if he had failed to breath for hours on end.

Instantly he felt a breeze, it felt ice cold. Figuring it was just a mind trick he went to stand up, his eyes lit up when he realized his front paws he placed on the ground had been replaced by.... hands? With a little bit of panic he tried to stand up, realizing his rear legs had been replaced with legs that seemed to operate similar to his night fury legs, but were smaller.

He looked around once his eyes fully focused and realized he was in a small room.
Stumbling a bit, he managed to stand up, slowly and carefully; he made his way to a mirror on the other side of the room to look at himself. What he seen surprised him, he had become a what seemed to be a 25 year old human....the creatures he heard only very little of in rare history and fantasy books.

As he looked at himself he noticed he had no scales, all of such had been replaced with thin hide that was soft, yet tough feeling. Covering his body he realized he was wearing some sort of dark green t shirt and he was wearing some sort of looser jeans that appeared to be flexible/easy to move around in.

Pulling the shirt up to see the rest of himself, he was happy to at least see he had not lost his physical fitness from his normal form. Pulling the shirt down, he stood up and looked around the room, his longer hair flowing gently in the breeze as his mind quickly was getting used to his new body, but it appeared he couldn't use magic yet. "I...I don't know what happened. But maybe.....maybe if I can find the others..they might know what happened." he said to himself as he forced the locked door on his room open with brute force.

"Tin! Solar! Sky! Are you here..?" he called out as he walked down the hallway, stumbling a bit."

The twins kept looking at the clothing, realizing it appeared to be a sort of uniform, or two stitched together. No. Looked too... purpose made to be stitched. They felt around, and Sky realized the was a roll of fabric behind he neck. A hood of some kind. Honestly, she wanted it at the moment, and quickly, seemingly by... instinct?... pulled it over her head. They also realized their eyes still looked the same. After some time, the pair decided it'd be best to try and get up. Their telepathic link still seemed to be working at least.

As they went to try and stand, they realized that it seemed... it was like they already knew how to walk to an extent. They looked around, trying to take in everything. Solar looked to see what looked like a window, full of stars. Was it night? Sky on the other hand was shocked by what she saw in the corner, and jumped.

"Gah!" She nearly knocked the pair over, with Solar grabbing a nearby... table...? Something like that. It seemed to have some glowing... square on it.

"What the heck Sky!? I'm not use to this yet?"

"W-we aren't a-alone...." She then pointed out the other person there.

"Oh.... Um.... Hi." Sky then turned her head, hearing someone else.

Tharasis was not sure at first. But looking closer he could notice small green dots inside the shape. And looking closer and even trying to touch it prompted the image to display some options.

He looked at the options presented to him with a raised brow. Apparently there was an option to lock its doors, to shut lights, and to activate an emergency fire prevention system.

" Turn off... lights? " He asked himself pressing the button and in a moment the small shape on the ship that was labeled as the *Crew Quarters* suddenly changed into a much darker hue of grey.

And so whomever or whatever those dots were, they would be in total darkness as the lights on the room had turned off.

And after a good second of so Tharasis would press he button once more. The grayed room returning to its vibrant blue like state of color.

And as he looked closer another dot seemed to be in one of the other rooms. and this one was labeled as the *Command Room * And it took little to realize it was him who was that dot.

Who else would have been that lone dot?

And looking closer it appeared that he could make his way towards those other dots. That is if he could first get himself out of this room. Which by looking at the door not to far from him, he guessed that was his starting point.

So moving closer, a thought made its way to his mind. That he did not need to open it with his hands, but before he could confirm it in his mind it happened right in front him. And he flinched at the sound of the door separating into two. And as he went out he would be greeted with an array of computers and other machines. And his eyes would trail at the stairs that he knew would lead him to those other dots.

" I surely hope I'm not the only one here. " He said to himself making his way down.

Xenithe groaned softly, feeling off as she slowly awoke. She didn't understand why she felt colder than usual, her plumage was usually there to help her stay warm and comfortable in the night. She huffed softly, grabbing a pillow as she tried snuggling deeper into it, only to pause when something tickled her face. She tried swatting it away, and she softly growled to herself as she felt the thing, wispy and soft, come back.

She even tried to grab it and throw it away when she yelped at the sudden pain she felt, eyes flashing open as she tried to understand what she had done. Only when she saw her hands and arms was when she truly understood what felt wrong, and she couldn't help the startled shriek as she threw herself into a sitting position.

She wasn't...normal. Her once blue scales were gone in favor of a pinkish, pale and soft type of skin that covered her arms and what she guessed were her hands, hands that were without talons and scales.

Xen adjusted and looked herself over, realizing her wings and tail were missing, and puffed at the weird hair that hung in front of her face, before she brushed it aside. It was long and a darker blue in color, reaching the small of her back with small streaks of gold, as she seemed to be wearing a type of blouse and a longer skirt uniform.

She was really thrown off by her feet, however, seeing the odd toes and how flat they were. It took her a moment to properly understand how to stand, and she struggled, wobbling for a moment, and even falling to her knees.

"This...isn't natural. Where is everyone...anyone..?" She said this softly to herself and looked the room over, before she stumbled to the odd door, carefully trying to open it, and finding herself in a hall.

Xen looked from right to left, her blue eyes cautious with her hair hanging over her shoulders, before she carefully treaded right, hoping to find anyone in this strange, mechanical place.

"...uhm...h-h-hello.." Tinuviel whispered back to the twins, staying in her corner. She felt like the weakness that was normally in her wings had somehow transferred to her legs. Tinuviel didn't even know if she could walk properly..
"Who..where...?"
Tinuviel stuttered out, unsure what to ask first.
(Srry for short post, couldn't think of anything)

Krin continued down the maze of hallways, he had no idea where he was, or where he was going. All he hoped was to find another person he could recognize at least.

"Tin! Solar! Sky! Anyone?!" he called out as he tripped over a small step and fell down with a loud thud, after a few seconds he groaned and got up. "Clearly this body needs conditioning....simply falling down hurt a lot more then it should of..." he thought as he stood in the centre of a room, with doors that led off in at least 3 or 4 different directions, drawing a frustrated sigh from him.

Malfawn had a terrible dream, he could not quite remember what had happen exactly but there was a struggle, the inability to move and fear. "Leave me alone!" Malfawn shouted himself awake.

Blinking slowly Malfawn slowly looked around the room, with confusion. He was in a room with a bunch of of beakers, vials and other scientific gear. He was quiet familiar with such objects but not where he was. White, clean and sterile. Not his usual cavern of scientific questionable morality. Where he was it looked like he fell asleep on a stool with a bunch of papers around him. Getting up was fine, but he fell straight on the ground.

"Argh" He grumbled, something was wrong, he misjudged the distance he should walk. This body was far shorter, yet just as lanky and flimsy but now there where no more feathers, no more joints upon joints, and the body was far less flexible. He figured he could only fit into space the size of his body, what a strange concept. Looking around he noticed just as well, his eyes were weak. "What am I? Why am I weaker now? I was just trying to get a bit stronger" Malflawn shook his head, no need to freak out or get depressed about the current predicament. All he needed to do was use science and magic and he could fix this. And he was in just the right room!

Pulling himself up from the ground, Malfawn went over to find a mirror to see what this body looked like. Finding something reflective within the room of wonders he carefully studied his new body. His skin was bare only small hairs all over it, and long hairs in random spots, he felt, that was black with pale white skin that never been exposed to the sun. He towered at the height of 7'2" but this must have caused some problems as he had some sort of device embedded into his spine that poked out of the surface a bit and something covered where his heart was, with that he seemed to have little muscle mass. He looked at his eyes and saw that they were an emerald green but had bright blue lines across it, its looked like circuits.

"Well this certainly is a body, hopefully I'm the strongest among these creatures... Unless I've been cursed to live alone?" He said looking around, yeah he probably could have made all of this, he figured. "Might as well wonder around my new abode" He said before going towards a door, grabbing a quick scalpel just in case he wasn't alone.

The twins both panted, looking around and seeing the other person. They just stared for a bit, both confused before Solar spoke up.

"Um.... I'm Solarlight, and this is Darksky." They were really confused, then heard more noise.

"I don't think we're alone."

Wondering around the ship, Malfawn found his way down to the third floor, but before he reached the bottom, he slide the scalpel up his sleeve to conceal it since he heard voices. He only catched a snippet of what had been said, so he didn't know what they were talking about but with deep breath, he continued down the hallway.

Not too long he would see other strange creatures that looked just like him. Oh great, he thought, no need to do tests on himself! He slowly walked into the sleeping quarters where the others were, but had to make sure to bend down to not smash his head into the threshold. Malfawn hoped that at least his height made him look intimidating since the others were far below his height. "Hello fellow companions, seems like you have finally woken up"

He shot a glance towards Solarlight and Darksky. "Would anyone like to help me up in the lab? I could use a hand" He said in a warm and welcoming voice.

There was something telling Tharasis he should go back, was it the atmosphere is this somewhat tight corridors and odd lighting? The abundance of odd machinery and pipes and valves. Everything was small, and it somewhat made him feel on edge.

He stopped before he could completely descend to the lower floors, stopping mid way before turning back around and carefully but quickly walking back to his room.

He moved inside just as when the doors have opened and sat down on the chair by the desk. He could not believe this was happening, he thought this was just all a dream. And he would wake up at any second.

But no... This is simply not a dream, some form of dark magic? perhaps. He thought to himself.

His eyes look at the desk again. And noticed the drawers this desk had, and opened them.

All he found was just some odd looking items. Some were familiar, like the pencils and papers. And others were odd, such as this metal like pencil, which then he attempted to write on the paper drew ink instead of charcoal lines.

But what most caught his attention and curiosity was this is something he had never seen, yet... Felt familiar to him.

He picked it up, his hands finding the grip to be more than comfortable. While he eyes the smooth and metallic shape of it. And just like that, he knew what this was. Or well, a vague idea now of what it was.

He can recall it was called a weapon of some sorts. And it fired projectiles with some form of mechanism.

He raised it to his face, eyes all the sides and details. For such a small thing it did feel quite heavy, most likely because it was made of metal.

He aimed it, trying to get a feel. And then accidentally shot it.

The resulting miss fire destroyed a small cup of glass which stood on another desk, hitting the wall and leaving a perfect hole where it entered.

Tharasis flinched at the sudden loud noise that it caused, which he knew would travel through the halls and other rooms of this ship.

... ... ...

He decided to put the weapon on his side, having found a small carrier for it in the form of what is called a shoulder holster, surprisingly for him. It felt quite comfortable, and the weapon was not hard for him to draw.

Looking all over the entire room, he found some other useful things. A simply multi tool, and a few boxes that were called magazines. And apparently, his weapon needed these boxes to function.

He was by no means competent with using the weapon. Even if he had some knowledge of how to operate it. In fact, he was hoping he would not need to use it at all. Finding the weapon best left alone on the holster.

But it gave him enough reassurance, as he stepped out of the room. That whatever could be down there, he would have something he could use to defend himself.

He made his way down, careful and minding each and every step. And he could hear the soft sounds of someone talking. And he tensed once more.

Tinuviel jumped in surprise at Malfawn's appearance, trying to stand by using the wall to lean on. She glanced at Solar and sky, noticing that they looked much different that she did, they didn't have dragon-like features still like she did, neither did Malfawn, though he was exceptionally tall.

"Who are you?" She glanced at Malfawn's tall frame, trying to figure out if she knew him. Thats when she heard the loud bang higher up.
"What was that? Is...are there others here?"

Emri huddled in the ventilation shaft, barely daring to breathe as the other human walked below her and into the room. She shuffled forwards to peer through the other grate into the room as he fell down the stairs. There were more like her?! She'd thought herself alone on the ship, but obviously she was wrong. She had woken up several hours ago in some sort of contained garden; filled with fruit bearing trees and all sorts of exotic flowers. At first she was disoriented, as she was noticeably missing her scales, wings and tail, at least she still had her horns; but she definitely knew that being trapped in a strange place was not good. Luckily, she still had her abilities; and after an hour or two of convincing the plants to help her, they finally broke through the strangely hardened glass. She quickly determined that the halls were not a safe place, then spied the strange tunnels along the ceiling. It wasn't hard to get into the ventilation, especially with the friendly plants there to help.

She flinched at the shattering noise as the strange weapon's loud report echoed out through the ship. She was by no means a fan of weapons, but if there were more humans on board, she could use an ally; especially a powerful ally. If that weapon could do that, what could it do to her? She needed a way to- Wait, he was moving again. Well, the time for subtlety was over.

"W- Wait!" She scrambled back over to the grate, kicked it open, and dropped down to the floor. "P- Please don't hurt me! I just- I thought I was alone!" She brushed her long dark hair out of her face to reveal swarthy sun-kissed skin, brilliant golden eyes, and a pair of dark, elegantly curved horns. She couldn't have been older than her mid-twenties as she crouched there, barefeet stained with dirt, in a simple green tunic and leggings, with her hands raised non-threateningly. "I don't want any trouble!"
