Fate flew higher into the night sky in a spiral and roared with happiness. He was free in the night sky and the stars swirled around him. This is where he belonged. He laughed and flipped in the air. The only thing that could make his time better was if someone was there to enjoy it with him. He couldn't ask Neru to go with him, unfortunately. She was asleep and he knew she had a tribe to lead and didn't want to wake her. So he went on his own. He enjoyed his long flights at night, the sky felt so alive.

Vortex shook his head as the crow flew away. "No, not all. Just the ones that understand me for who I am." He cooed, lowering his paw.

Fate nodded slowly, understanding what he meant. "I see..." He flicked his tail from side to side, silence sweeping over once again. "So... Where are you heading?"

Vortex made a small shrug motion. "I never know where. I just go wherever the paths lead me." He answered, tail unconsciously flicking back and forth.

Fate pondered his words for a moment. "Does that mean that you don't have a home anywhere?" he asked. If Vortex didn't have a home, maybe Fate could bring him back to the Vuari where he could get recruited and have a place to sleep every night. Obviously if Vortex wanted to.

Vortex lowered his head a little, shaking it no. "No, I don't have a home. Not anymore" He said, a bit of sadness in his voice. "I'm a wanderer." Shifting a bit, he let his eyes wander a little before bringing his gaze back. "I've always considered finding a home though."

Fate inclined his head, silent for a moment, thinking out what to say and how it would work. "Would you like to come back to the Vuari with me? Honestly, I think that you could get recruited and join the tribe. I'm sure Neru would welcome you if you proved yourself not to be an enemy." He looked into Vortex's eyes, wondering what he would reply.

Vortex looked back into the smaller wyvern's eyes, thinking for a long, silent moment. "I... Alright." He said, breaking the silence. "If you think I should, I'll give it a shot." He let a faint smile touch his maw.

Fate was relieved when Vortex agreed to his offer. "Great! I do think you should. I know that Neru won't be harsh to you, I believe that she will welcome you with open wings," he said. He really hoped that would be the case. He didn't think that Vortex had any bad intentions, and he hoped that Neru would see that too.

Vortex released a relieved sigh, content with how that had turned out. "If that is what you believe, that is what I shall believe as well." He cooed. He didn't intend any harm, so it may go smoothly. He only hoped their chief saw that in him.

Fate nodded. He truly believed Vortex didn't mean any harm. He could see it in his eyes. He could tell a lot from someone's eyes, on whether they have good intentions or not. "Follow me," he said and took to the skies, heading in the direction of the Vuari. He hoped that this wasn't a grave mistake.

// Should I try and get Neru to join?

Vortex watched for a moment as Fate took off, leaping up and taking off a few moments after. Catching up and flying just to the back right of Fate, he thought about what he was doing. He knew he had the capability to leave at any time, but he felt he had to follow through.

// Sure ask her; sorry about post delay, I'm a bit busy with school as of now.

// Okay. And it's fine, I totally understand.

Fate flew in silence, occasionally glancing at Vortex. He hoped that Neru would still be up at this hour, patrolling or watching the stars. He reached the mountains and landed on the one where Neru resided. He walked into the tunnel on the mountain, the inside of it almost pitch black. "Neru?" he called softly in Vuarish. He didn't want to wake her. Though he did hope that she was awake. "Neru, are you awake?"

Neru had never been a deep sleeper. It was just a fact of life. She'd never been all that bothered by it; after all, she was nocturnal, so it was understandable that she might have trouble sleeping at night, no matter how long she attempted to change her schedule to do so, sometimes biology was just biology. Thus, Fate's gentle voice at the entrance of her cave had her awake in mere moments, blinking blearily into the dark. She lifted her head from the edge of her nest, letting out a wide yawn, her tongue curling out and up.

The action helped clear her head a bit, and so Neru turned towards the torch on the wall next to the entrance of her little nest. She lit it with a quick plasma blast, squinting at the sudden light that flooded the room. Fate was exactly where he'd been when he'd spoken. By his expression, there was no emergency, but she was curious at what he wanted so late in the night. Or was it early morning?

"Yes, Fate?" she asked, her voice thick with sleep. "Is something wrong?"

Fate heard a yawn from where he expected her to be sleeping, before a plasma blast hit the torch near him and he blinked, his eyes trying to adjust to the light. "I-I am sorry for waking you," he said, feeling a little guilty for waking her up. "No, nothing is wrong, but I do have a little situation on or hands." He then proceeded to explain the whole situation with Votrex to Neru.

"Come, and I will show you," he said, letting her leave her nest first, being respectful, and then came with her out to where Vortex was. "Vortex, this is the leader of the Vuari, Neru."

Vortex landed behind Fate, making no sound. He waited as Fate spoke something in a language he couldn't understand, hearing a yawn and a response he did not understand either follow. Looking away, he shielded his eyes from the sudden light. Looking back into the tunnel, he let his eyes adjust for a moment, before seeing a wyvern not unlike Fate.

Realization hitting him as Fate spoke to him again, he lowered his head as somewhat of a bow. "Chief."
